What causes an Evap line?!

Have seen that a few ladies get these, just wanted to know what it was and what causes it, just incase I ever have one!!

I think theyre caused by faulty tests and/or not following instructions properly (eg looking at it after the allocated time) xx

i've had one before, i came back to the test 10 minutes there was nothing.. but half an hour later there was a thin grey line. Apparently it's to do with the test's antibody strip (positive line) and when light hits and dries up the urine it can leave a grey line.
