I don't particularly want to spend money on nursing tops.
What normal type clothes can I go for?
Due couple weeks so wanna prepare.

I can't go without my nursing tank tops. Now in the summer it's all I wear around the house. Just snap and boob is out without having to fuss around with pulling up my shirt.

Nursing bras are a must as well if you plan on ever leaving your house. I can't wear most of my pretty summer dresses but I wear tank tops and pull up my blouse and unhook the cup.

Most people will also tell you that a night-time bra is essential for holding my bra pads in place (night-time leaking is awful). I hate wearing night time bras and my breasts are too big to wear them because they're so flimsy and the breast pads just scatter about anyway. So I just sleep on top of a towel.

I've got the bras just wasn't sure about clothes wise.
Best type of clothes for best discreet feeding.. Xx

My SIL just wears primark cheapy vest tops underneath her usual clothes. I'm a bit cuddlier than her (lol), so don't want to lift my top up in public, even with a vest over it. I wear H&M nursing tops and shirts or tops that button down far enough.

I think you'll just decide whatever you feel comfortable in tbh. I hadn't bought any nursing tops before LO was born, as I thought I'd just nurse him under a BF cover. As it happens, I hate using the cover!

Love my mothercare wrap over sleep bras! I do have large boobs but these were a god send for the first few weeks, in hospital (wore one during labour too!) and during recovery. There was enough support to wear outside, and easy to feed in til I got the hang of it! I still wear them at night as my supply isn't regulated yet so often have engorgement if sh sleeps thro and this saves pain and leakage! :)
Good bras are a must. I like to wear a long vest and shirt over it, pull one up, one down.
I do have a nursing top from matalan (£8) and it's pretty good! :)
Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy, hope to see you in here afterwards! :) xxx

I just wear normal clothes (when inside and around family as a Muslim I cover up more outside which is great for NIP), I even wear normal maxi dresses as I have the type with a deep cross over type of design on the front and back; wear a t-shirt or vest under and its very easy to feed discreetly in it xx

I just wear my normal clothes, but with a vest top underneath, lift one up, drop the other :flower:

I can't actually imagine not wearing a vest top now. I just stocked up on them from H&M, they're only like £2.99 or something :)

I where my pregnancy bellyband when I go out under my normal shirts. That way, when I lift up my shirt on one side, my stomach and back aren't bare so it's kind of like a nursig top. It also is good because some of my shirts are a little short now that my boobs are enormous.

Thank you ladies!! :)
I just don't wanna spend money on clothes specifically for nursing as I find them expensive, obviously minus the bras xx

I got 3 stretchy reversible (triangle top or straight across front) vests from peacocks for a tenner. Just wear one under any old top I fancy.XX

Def get measured for a bra at 6-8 weeks once your supply has settled down. I'm going to Mothercare to get measured and pick up some good nursing bras as mine are not that great. Matalan's are shite, fyi, especially if you have a large bust. :flower:

^I'd get measured in m'care then buy elsewhere, mothercare nursing bras are not well made (lumpy seams and odd shaping) xx

I wear a tank under my tops... works great having dbl layer and doesn't cost a fortune!

Someone on this site suggested a tank top under a regular shirt. I found a bunch of tanks with shelf bras in it & use those under my clothes. It's comfortable & when you pull up the top & down the tank it provides a lot of coverage.

I have about 8 vests from primark (£2 each) and just wear them under normal tops.

I have one actual nursing top and find it more of a hassle being discreet in it. Its ok once latched on but getting them ok tends to show alot of boob

I just stocked up on some vests from new look they got some nice button up crop top type things xx

Im big on top and found the best and most supportive bras are the M&S nursing bras :)

As for clothes, what great tips! lol I was wearing nusring vest tops, and a bebe au lait cover, so just dropping the top no problems, but I ditched the cover as it was too warm for LO and now wear any normal top and just lift it to feed (rather than drop - lot less exposure lol) Id never have thought to pop a vest underneath though, I just keep my top down at the back and which ever side Im not feeding from, and expose the skin on the other side lol :dohh:

I wear a lot of tube tops. I wasn't that endowed before LO so they provide enough support. That being said, I think more people have seen my boobs in the last two weeks than in my entire life to-date. If you're visiting my house, be prepared to see some boob!

okay....dumb question....what is a vest?? I am still wearing my maternity pants and hate lifting up my tanks and having people see the mesh...would like to just be able to pop out a boob without showing my tummy.

I think a vest top is like a tank top?? Its a t shirt with no sleeves just thin straps. Mine just unclip and the feeding boob pops out, no lifting or moving of top needed xx
