....Tudor

It's after my late grandfather.

Do you think he would be at more risk of bullying?

Please be honest :)

Thanks hun, i'm not keen on Ted, but it would be shortened to Tu. x

Not keen :nope:, but i love names with family connections, so if you like it and its special to your family then I think you should go with it . xx

Im not kean to be honest, but as its a family name that you love you should go for it

I don't like it, but I think it would make a fab middle name with the family connections.

As a primary school teacher, I can see it becoming an issue when they study the Tudors!!!

Claire...thanks hun, thats what was worrying me, studying Tudors.

Thanks everyone for being honest.

Thanks hun.

If we don't use Tudor, it will be Edward George John if we go with family names as first names. However i don't like Edward shortened, but at a push could cope with Ned.

Edward is DH's middle name, George is DH's late grandads, dads, brothers names and John is my father's name and Tudor's first name...he was rarely known as John though, but John works as i can include my father.

I love thinking about names! :) ...our family name for a girl is Florence Catherine Lillian.

Thanks Sophiiie....Florence is my gran's middle name, Catherine and Lillian are DH's late grandmothers names.

Tudor would be :happydance: as a MN but as a first name yes it has massive bullying potential. Keep unusual names as a MN. Alexander Tudor or Leonardo Tudor would be cute.

Thanks Laura,

If we don't use family names for first names, i would seriously consider Leonardo, so cute! and i love Leo.

Thanks for all your opinions and help.

We have decided that we will not go with family names, as much as i love Tudor, i worry about the bullying potential and although i like Edward, i don't think i like it enough or any of the other male names in the family.

We are now creating a list of three non-family names for each gender and we will then wait until baby is born to see what suits him or her.

Just need to get pregnant now! haha! :)

I went to school with a Tudor and a Stuart who were both in the same class when we studied Tudor and Stuarts. Neither ever had any problems with bullying.

Hiya, I'm not that kean but i dont think it would increase bulling, if you like it then you should go for it :D
