I have been buying & buying for months now! Everything is wrapped & i'm completely done -- and now my son has named two more things he asked Santa for!!!!! :dohh: He keeps seeing a commercial on TV for the "Pop The Pig" game & keeps saying he wants it for Christmas! And he told his teacher that Santa is bringing him a drum-set! There is even a poster in his preschool class that lists what each kid is getting for x-mas & his says a drum-set! When i told him that he didn't tell Santa he wanted a drum set he said, "Yes i did -- the other day at your work!" He must have told Santa at my work Christmas party! This is the 1st i'm hearing about it!

What would you do?? I really can't afford to buy anything else! Plus i feel he already got plenty! But i don't want him to be disappointed on Christmas morning! :nope:

wow!!! youre little boy is one lucky little lad. Weve only bought him two presents and is grandparents have got him a few little toys and the rest money as he way too many toys and ive asked specifically for them not to buy big toys. as for your lo asking for things you havent bought him, i dont know what id do, maybe if he gets some Xmas money buy them with that or maybe take some of the toys back that youve bought him after hes opened them and ask him if he would to keep these toys or still would like the drumkit etc. Tell him Santa cant always get exactly what he wants as they have run out or they will be getting somemore after xx

can i just add.your little niece and i share the same 1st name!!!! xxx

I wouldnt worry about last requests, mine change their mind daily lol but I know they will be happy. xx

Thanks, those are good ideas! :flower:

Maybe he can decide if he would like to return a few things & get the drum-set instead...

Hhmmm......... i don't think i kept any receipts tho! (I should have... but i'm bad with that sort of thing!)

you'll be able to exchange without a receipt but if the toy has gone done in the sale, you can only exchange for the value that its worth. xx

you can get a toddler drum kit for £25 in argos is there anyone that hasnt bought him yet? xx

as said kids change there minds every advert they see on TV im sure he'll realise santa has brought him lots and will forget about those other things he wanted come xmas morning

You need to tell him that his list is just ideas for santa and he wont get them all. He won't care on the day!

Dec has been asking for lots of things but I have told him Santa will bring what he can because the rest of the little boys and girls have to get presents to. Dec is 3 years 2 months :)

I agree with what Sabby said, just tell him that Santa can't bring everything he wants as the other boys and girls need things too :hugs:

I like that: I just told him that he will get some presents & other kids will get some too... he has to share. He seemed to understand that. I just wish the preschool didn't have a poster hanging on the wall... lol... i'm sure they will ask him after xmas break if he got his drum-set!

Sabby... our son's are close in age! Jayden is 3 years, 5 months!

Boothh -- We don't have an argos in the US... besides i truly can't afford to buy one more thing! I did mention to OH's sister today that he would like the "Pop the Pig" game when she asked me what he wants. So maybe she'll get it for him. I looked a few places online at drum-sets & decent kid's ones are around $80 - $120. So.... maybe for Easter or his birthday!

thats terrible about your preschool list  is it a 'what u ARE getting' or a 'what you would LIKE'?

My kids go on about what they want every day especially my 9 yr old son, surely if your son desperately wanted one he would of gone on bout it I know my kids will go on and on till I have it drummed in my head lol xx

I'm not sure -- i will have to read it myself on Monday -- OH picked him up on Friday & told me about it!

Amazed -- My son is only 3... doesn't really go "on and on" about anything. He has a speech delay... and is just now starting to talk more (maybe equal to a 2.5 year old)... so we get excited any time he says something new! And i've certainly never heard him say "drum-set" before... baffled where he even got that idea from!

I think he has got plenty of gifts and there is no reason to beat yourself up about whether or not to buy more. I was always told that my Santa list was a list of suggestions from Santa and that I would get some of them and some surprises. Think that works pretty well.

You guys are absolutely right! Besides -- not meeting his every demand is also a good lesson -- lol -- for him and me!

I guess i just got caught up in the fact that this is the 1st Christmas he is actually making requests -- plus as an only child i tend to spoil him rotten!
