I was wondering what proof of earnings do I need to gather to claim ctc and wtc? Do I need p45 s etc? It doesn't seem to ask for them which seems odd? Does anyone know?

i didn't need to send anything off, just had to give them income information on the form.

So how do they no your not lying? Seems strange! Well that's good news as was starting to run out of time to send form off and was stressing about getting evidence. I have only earned min wage this year and was student year b4 so hopefully will be entitled to a bit. Means I will be able to move out of parents house with baby. Thanks

dunno to be honest.. sure they have ways of checking with tax offices or something.

Tax Credits are part of the Inland Revenue service, each renewal you have to provide details from your P60 showing your previous years earnings. I suspect they do random checks on random people at this time, they can't be checking everyone or they wouldn't ask for the information from us in the first place
