Hi Ladies looking for a little advice both me and my OH work full time me 45 hours per week and OH 50 hours per week
Our baby is due in July (I know a little while of yet) but I am looking at my options now at what I will be entitled to just so I have an idea.
My OH earns around £310 Per Week
I work shifts so my wage varies each week from between £240-£280 each week depending on the shifts I work.
We don't get any benefits at the moment and we live quite comfortably pay all the bills and have enough to do what we want with BUT when I go on maternity pay obviously the wage will be cut down quite a bit and then I want to only go back to work part time doing 2-3 shifts a week which will be 18-27 hours per week.
My MIL will have the baby a couple of times a week so I can return to work and my OH is of weekends so some of my shifts will have to be weekends so OH can have baby.
I really dont want to go back to work full time straight away as I want to be with my baby as much as possible and I have worked full time since I was 16 I will be 26 when baby is born so i believe that I have paid my fare share in taxis to claim some benefits to be able to see my baby grow up once baby is at nursery I will do more hours at work and gradually go back to full time.
any one have any advice... sorry for the rambling lol xxxx
