What will they see on US?

Due to not knowing dates since my MC in July. Hospital have sent me for a dating scan on Wednesday. Going by the positive test I say I'm 7 weeks today so I'll be 7+3 at scan but I could be anywhere up to 9! will they see everything through a abdominal ultra sound? If not do they try transvaginal after? Any one experienced this?

I think around that time you should see everything on an abdominal scan and should see a heartbeat x

They might do a transvaginal one since you're still early. They didn't attempt abdominal with DD until 12 weeks. I did just do an abdominal one on Friday at 8 weeks and was able to see the heartbeat, but the lady said it can be difficult before 8 weeks. I've attached my 7+2 transvaginal scan from DD and my 8+0 abdominal scan with this one. Good luck with yours!

Expect to see the yolk sac and the little fetus, oh and a heartbeat!

I had a transvaginal at 7 weeks with my daughter because she was suspected ectopic. This one is an appt so I'm guessing they will try abdominal US first

Mine was abdominal at 7+4, but he dated 4 days behind at that point

Just looked kinda like a prawn with a heartbeat!

She offered transvaginal if I wanted a clearer picture but didn't see the need

At my 12 week scan he was measuring 5 days ahead and he's maintained that date.
