What would you do?

I think if I were in your situation, I'd probaby take them to be honest! x

I definitely would. I finally got pregnant after 39 months of ttc and on and off clomid. It has its side effects and one of them is to have an enlarged ovary and an ovarian cyst which can be very painful. I developed this on my first cycle but it did not discourage me. Later on i started Evening Primrose oil on cd1 then clomid on 3-7 and 2 cycles later i got pregnant after so many cycles ttc. I believe that EPO does wonders! Plus taking it easy.

Just be in tune with your body and whenever you feel pain that you should not have please go to the doctor.

Good luck to you and throwing :dust: your way.

What exactly is EPO suppose to be for? For example, I know b6 is suppose to be for a short luteal phase and probably has its effect on progesterone or egg maturity and therefore can lengthen a short LP. But I have no idea about EPO. And are you suppose to take it all days of the cycle or just cd1 to O? If all days are you suppose to stop when you get a BFP? Sorry for all the q's.

Evening Primrose Oil increases the fertile cervical mucus you need for the sperms to swim. Clomid tends to dry you up. Most of the time, we confuse being wet from arousal as having enough cm when this is not the case. Its advised to take it from cd1 to Ovulation only because it can cause uterine contractions after this.

I hope this helps. I can definitely vouch for this because i was trying for a long period without knowing what was wrong. And then on the 2nd cycle i got pregnant.

I used EPO for months and it didn't help at all, was just a waste of money at least with pre seed we know it works.

Preseed is not available here in Dubai. My only option was EPO. And it worked with me so i can say that it works. I guess Preseed would be better though. I agree with u.

Hey ladies sorry I haven't been on lately. Have spent the the couple of days in and out of hospital. It's a long story and I am messaging from my phone so I won't go into it just now. I have decided to do days 5-9 at 50mg and here's hoping some kind Of miracle happens. :) x

luck hun, So I forgot what CD you are up to, are you about to start your first dose?

Some people say to take it at night so you can sleep through the side effects but personally I think you should take them in the morning at least for the first month to make sure you catch any bad side effects if you do get them.

I've just finished my last pill for this month and the hot flushes, head aches and overy swelling is all pretty bad this month. (I hope I haven't got cysts) At least I't not messing with my emotions too much this month.

Aww I am sorry to hear your symptoms were so bad. Out of curiosity and so I know what to look for myself, How do you know you have ovary swelling?

I was planning on taking them at night but what you said makes sense. I might take them at 8pm once my son goes to bed as I don't go to bed until 12-1am ish so I've at least a few to pick up on any symptoms. My LO has special needs so taking them in the morning knowing I am not gonna be at my best for him wouldn't be ideal for me.

I am going to take my first one today. I am a bit nervous I have to admit. Due to severe stomach pains I've had over the few days I had a scan on my uterus and ovaries 2 days ago and all was fine with them, so at least I know I am starting out cyst and problem free. Silver lining to the black cloud I suppose. I was in agony but I at least know everything is A-ok before I start taking clomid. Feeling better today thankfully, was worried I was going to have to postpone my first month with clomid.

Just a heavy, sort of tight feeling. Nothing too bad just a little annoying.

I found that I get my side effects form about 2 days after I take my first pill to about 3 or 4 days after my last one, that is excluding the Ovary swelling and O pains. Oh and also be ready to get every pregnancy symptom under the sun during your TWW pregnant or not. If you like you can have a look through my journal to see what I went through.

Oh this sounds like its going to be packed full of fun!! NOT!! :dohh:. Have taken my first tablet, figured i'd take it around 8 for the first cycle, that way if i do feel unwell with it I can go to bed, but I am awake for a good 4 hours or so after taking it then I can be aware if anything doesn't feel right..

I am definitely going off to have a look at your journal, thanks for drawing my attention to it :hugs:. If I can at least be prepared for how I am going to feel then its half the battle.

Hey hun I think any pharmacist in Egypt that's been recomemded by ur reps would know what he was talking about, don't forget how over the top British peeople can get with healthy dieting and everything being bad for you, seriously if we didn't do anything that experts said was bad for us wed all be in padded rooms eating grass! I'd personally take what he's given you, book a go appointment once a month for blood presure checks, ur go can't force you not to take them but he can check ur doin ok on them, hope this helps hun and good luck, iv been ttc for 3.5 years with nothing apparently wrong with me or DH so I know how frustrating it is xxxxxx :hugs:

I agree nat, the British doctors and people (me being one of them ) are sometime over cautious. It's nice to be safe, but sometimes we gotta take the odd risk to get what we want in life. The doctors can complain all they like but if they would help people then they wouldn't have to do things like this. Obviously my main concern is over stimulating the ovaries so I am sticking to 50mg for now. Took first one last night and feel ok, but have read its day two or three before you start feeling side effects.

It's increadably frustrating not having a reason why you cant get pregnant. :hugs:

HI ladies,

i thought i'd update you all on how I am getting on with the clomid. Last night was day 2 of taking it and I have to admit I feel rough!!! I feel nauseated ever since yesterday morning, having hot flushes, headaches, and this morning woke up and feel REALLY bloated (haven't gained any weight tho). To be honest I can cope with everything except the feeling sick! If I could even just be sick and feel better then it wouldn't be so bad, but everything else I can cope with ok. I suppose I shouldn't moan too much (or at all) cause if it helps me get a :baby: then it'll have all been worth it, my worry is if I go through all this for a few months and don't get a baby at the end. I assume things are just likely to get worse as the days go on until I stop taking them?

DH has been well and truely warned that he is BD'ing regularly at time of O wether he is tired/in the mood for it or not  :haha:.

feeling nauseated isn't a common SE of clomid and bloating usually comes later in your cycle, Maybe you have just managed to get the flu? or you are not yet over the sickness you had last week? Hopefully you feel better tomorrow :)
And it is so worth it in the end.

You could be right trying hard. I don't think I have the flu but it's possible I just have an upset tummy. I do get it from time to time due to having a sensitive stomach so it could just be a coincidence that it's happened at same time I started clomid. Thankfully I have medication to help with bloating. X

hi,
I also from tomorrow will start taking clomid.. without prescription.. I got it prescribed in sept 11 by one gyne who diagnosed me as case of PCO which other gynae advised not to take as my 1yr ttc mark was not over, but in feb.. all cysts were gone when my new fertility specialist did 3d ultrasound.. my uterus is small,, she has given me progynova and primolut n this cycle but without her knowledge i will take clomid too..as I desperately want a bfp..
DARING TO DO IT.. i m wrong.. i know but for our baby i can do anything..

Piya, as this thread shows most of us would do it honey. I am a little nervous but I think that's good and help to keep us sensible about things! Like others have said, as long as your open to telling your doctor if you think something isn't right then I say go for it :) xx

On the plus side, the worst of my bloating seems to have settled. Still a little nauseated but nothing bad like I was earlier. Do think that these two symptoms have nothing to do with clomid. So the hot flashes an headaches are the only things going on but neither is too bad or unbearable.

I will tell my gynae about clomid if i get pregnant.. otherwise will keep mum :-$about it.. slight nausea is there if i avoid food. took clomid100 last evening and will take it today too.. from cd2-6. no complications yet..
fingers are crossed for this cycle.. i will start temping too from today as i purchased it just now..
I will be bding just everyother day:sex::sex:.. but i never catch lh surge in opk.. so have not purchased them again. :dohh:

:dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust:

I am also finding that if I don't eat regularly I end up feeling sick, but I feel a lot better today. I am only taking 50mg. I am using the cbfm and got a high this morning, but think I'm going to get opks to confirm what the cbfm is saying in case the clomid confuses it.

Good luck and keep us all updated. X
