whats your christmas day like?

where do you spend the big day? how does your day pan out?

we always spend it with my parents and grandparents. we stay Christmas eve to day after boxing day usually (although they only live about half a mile away )

we all wake up together, begin to open presents, then have breakfast, then more presents, then at 12 my dad and gramps go to the pub and james pops to see his parents. at this point me and mum enjoy egg nogg and lots of maddi playing.

the boys come back around 2, and we have more presents. then we have dinner between 3-4, then more presents before maddi goes to bed. hopefully we would have finished present opening by now, it's normally i large task

once babies in bed we settle down to a nice film and open the choc's

This is our first as the three of us. I'm planning getting up, then having breakfast and stockings in bed with Theakston. Hope to go downstairs and snuggle in front of TV then go for a walk. Home for a late lunch and then TV and food all day

every christmas passed we go to my parents house,so its me my 2 brothers,husband,mum dad,and an aunt.
we go around lunchtime and have a christmas dinner, open presents have some desert and thats it, then at night every year my DH's friend/best man has a big party with lots of people and they play blackjack and have snacks.

BUT this year ill be hosting christmas dinner inviting the in laws, my parents, my brother and his fiance, my sil and her bf, my aunt, aunt and uncle in law and grandad in law.
its my first christmas with LO and the first ill be cooking.

without children it was spent travelling round the family and friends who did have children, last year annabelle was only a few weeks old so we spent the majority of the day at home then popped to BIL for a few hours!

this year we are not leaving our house, its all about Annabelle, presents, naughty choc, food, toys presents lots of photos and lots of food LOL we are visiting OH mum on christmas eve and then we visiting my family boxing day! we just wanted to please ourselves this year not everyone else like we have done in previous years!

We get up at stupid o'clock,have breakfast,open all our pressies whilst taking lots of pictures (hubby has just bought me a camcorder so maybe not so many pictures this year?),then we go to MILs to join her and hubbys brothers,and open lots more presents,then BIL brings us home,we have our dinner (ALWAYS cooked by hubby),Jack gets to play with all his new toys and then my ex (Jacks dad) comes round early evening with his mum,brother,aunty & cousin bringing more gifts.So more opening of pressies,consumption of mince pies,alcohol and Jack showing off......
Overall a lovely day enjoyed by all

Me and OH usually go to church on Christmas day,then to his mums and dads then back to our own house and have Christmas dinner,then that evening we go to my mum and dads then home again and have cold Turkey,stuffing and ham sandwhichs,then relax then bed lol.xxx

This is my first year where I'm not living at my mums, although it'll be pretty similar. Me and OH will get up and give each other our presents here and have some breakfast. Then we'll go over to my mums about 11ish probably, do more presents there and have christmas dinner about 2.30 as usual. Then around 5.30-6 we go over to my great aunties where my grandad will be too, and have like buffet food and more presents and lots of wine for those who can drink, and play board games usually xx

This year we are going to my Mums for Christmas day

So our day will start with waking up, all having brekkie (porrige and toast for Tigs and bacon sarnies for us ) and then opening some prezzies. about 11am we will go to my Mums house. My sister will be there, as will my Nana and Grandad, my Mum and her boyfriend. My sister, Grandad, and us three will all go to the pub while Mum and Nana cook dinner. We'll get back for 2 ready for dinner. After dinner we'll open some more prezzies an eat loadsa chocolate
We'll come home at about 5pm, and 6pm is Tiggys bedtime. After that we will watch some tv, eat some more chocolate

All siblings + ther OH's will be there,Christmas eves morning the tree is decorated, in the afternoon it is closed off (for getting the present there) and in the evening /afternoon the room will be opened. than there will be unpacking of presents,
(before everybody has to bring a piece of porety or music before there is any unpacking) (somebody gets up and gives a present wth a persons name to the person, (that person gets up and gives a present to a different person(etc)

after that its christmas dinner(I think this year its fondue) and after it is general play with presents, music, a game maybe. the next days are mostly for visitng the inlaws etc.

We are staying at home this year, usually we go to my mums but she's working on christmas day so we are going to just have a chillout day, let Brooke enjoy herself and play with her toys.

I'll be making the dinner so we'll sit down to eat around 1pm

Every year is different with us, but this year we are having my family down ours for dinner then up to OHs in the night, last year i was in hospital till midday and me and rich and tyler slept alot of the afternoon so this year i want a fun packed day!!!

This will be our first christmas at home so it will all be different this year! Christmas eve we are going to the in-laws (we always do this) then christmas morning we will get up, open our presents, I'll cook breakfast, hopefully chill out for a bit, start cooking dinner, maybe go for a walk. I'm planning to do dinner for about 2-2:30, then in the evening we might go to my BIL's house as he usually has family over on christmas day but we are usually too far away to go (we lived in Derbyshire for the last few years but now we only live 5 mins away!). On boxing day my parents are coming down and I'm doing party food

We will get up around 7-7.30am, we make beds before we go downstairs (I know I am a cruel mummy but I cant settle if I know the beds are messy and it only takes 2 mins) We will all sit and open presents for about 2 hours,breakfast will be about 9-9.30am.

About 10-11am my mum and dad will drive up to see what Santa brought the kids (they only live 5 mins away) After that we will all get dressed, I will put the turkey in the oven and we will go visit my sis, sometimes my brother and then mum and dad. (they all live within 5 mins walking)

We will be back in the house for about 2pm and dinner will be served at 3pm. After dinner we spend time with the boys sorting toys and playing.

At about 6.30pm will go to my mum and dads house for christmas drinks and games. Depending on Dec we will stay until about 10-10.30pm but with Dec loving his routine so much ( and coming out of it so easy) it may be earlier this year.

Our christmas day has been the same for several years now and has become a bit of a tradition, we always say we are going to do something different but when it comes to it Christmas isnt the same if we dont do the above

This year is going to be extra special because we have amelie! Can't wait!
Our plan's are as follows...

Xmas eve will be me and Stefan putting batteries in toys and building toys , I'll need to prepare my veg and brine my turkey on the 23rd as I'll be working on Xmas eve too We'll prob get a chinese for dinner. Amelie will open her new PJs and story book on Xmas eve too
Me, Stefan and Amelie will wake up on Christmas morning and we'll go downstairs, open a few presents, have breakfast, open a few more presents and I'll put the turkey on then get showered/dressed as Stef plays with Amelie and then we'll swap over, then Amelie will get a bath with her new bath toys and dressed into her party frock
My family and OHs family (8 of them) will come over, we'll swap gifts then they'll play with Amelie whilst I finish cooking the dinner. We'll sit down and eat and relax, have a few drinkies (not me), watch TV etc etc. When they all leave, LO will go to bed and me and OH will spend some time together watching a film or something
We have boxing day to ourselves, then we go to my dads on the 27th for another dinner and we'll stay over night.

We get up earlyish and take it in turns to open our presents: me first then mum then dad (when I have kids they'll open their first). Then have some breakfast and watch a christmas film. Then showers and dressed. Next some family members come up, we have dinner then open the rest of the presents and then play games/watch tv/ have some drinks for a few hours. And then I go to OHs to stay over
