So I'm a FTM and EBF. DD is 3 weeks old and I'm just finally getting to the point where I am ready to start venturing out of the house more frequently. (Was terrified at the thought of going out by myself with LO).

Aside from 2 nursing bras, the kind that unhook from the strap, I haven't bought anything "Nursing" specific. We're on a tight budget so I'm hoping to avoid buying new clothes, especially after just having to buy new clothes for the baby bump.

So, what do you find is the most convenient to wear when out and about to nurse in. Do you find pulling a tank top down to nurse is easier than pulling a shirt up? Do you end up wearing 2 layers, tank underneath and shirt on top?

I find myself being restricted to deep V-Necks or tank tops only and am hoping for some inspiration! I thought I'd have a lot of my wardrobe back after having the baby, but it's not turning out that way. :(

I definitely think anything you can pull down is best for BFing. I have an 8 week old and my tummy still feels line a deflated beach ball, so part of me wants to keep that covered!! I bought some really cheap nursing tank tops at Target that unhook like nursing bras. You don't need to wear anything underneath which is great!! Def my fav thing to wear out!

I have a WHOLE Closet full of milk nursing clothing now, so really I just grab whatever and go :) whether it be nursing wear, or regular clothes I make it work :). I rather be comfy than have easy access some days though.

I have some nursing stuff and for everything else I just throw a nursing tank under so I can pull up the regular shirt and down the tank!

I am on a tight budget too & haven't got any specific nursing clothes, I find the best thing is a stretchy vest I can pull down under a stretchy tee I can pull up. If vest & tee are the same colour it is very discreet once baby is latched on. Easy to throw in the wash too!

I just wear stretchy vest type tops too which pull down easily - I also tie a muslim cloth to the top so I can cover from the top too if I think I need to.

Well it's winter here and I bought two nursing singlets which I wear under everything at a worst case... If not two singlets does the job...

I also got a big fashion scarf which is more like an endless loop kinda thing so I just wack that on and it's wide enough to cover my boob and babies head :)

I didn't buy any specific clothes for it, just clothes that I could pull down easily.. Long vest tops were my go to normally, so easy.

It's super hot here so I've been wearing a nursing bra and a sun dress everyday. I can just pull down the elastic top of the dress and unhook a breast to feed.

H&M sell nursing vests which I couldn't live without! I have two on a constant rotation. I wear one under a loose top which I can pull up and, like the bras, the top of the vest unclips. The few times I haven't worn those out I wear a regular vest top and pull it down. Just make sure it's loose so it doesn't squeeze against your boobs!
