These are a cheaper first response test. I TTC for 8 years so went through about 100 of them. Had my BFP at long last and then my baby.

(oops, can't upload the pics from an iPod so willupload shortly from the computer)

Then recently felt a bit off so did 6 tests. ALL of them came up with evap lines or weird skinny pink lines! In all that 8 years I never got so much as 1 evap.

Really annoying as I trusted this brand, they must have changed how they make these tests.

i bought about 6 tesco own brand hpt's and they all had blue line evaps on them. will never buy them again!

These are the Amazon One Step tests too - they're pretty flimsy & if the cover for the dipping end comes loose, you get these "moving" positive lines from the dye run.....
A v good reason for "gazing" at your tests as they develop!

Good to know!! I ordered some of those and should be getting them soon. I haven't gotten a false pos yet and I'm really hoping I don't have to

Well it's not official but I'm thinking I got a false positive =( I'm super bummed too but there is nothing I can do but wait for af to show her ugly unwanted face or wait till Monday and get a blood test... I feel like screaming!

Here's a picture of the little devil of a test... I knew I shouldn't have gotten excited about it because when I took it even the test line was slow to show up but oh well I'm still on the waiting list.

MrsGood2be: That really doesn't look like a false positive. It has colour and is a pink test. I read in the other thread you got a BFN this morning, what did you test with?

I tested with the same test and got a both times... I haven't got my period yet so either this is a false positive or those two were false negative... either way I'm mad so I put it here in the hpt hall of shame... if I do turn out to be pregnant I will take it down and put the two negative ones up but it doesn't make any sense that I would get two completely differen't results with the same test =(

Yikes. I am so sorry so many of you have had these!!!!

I got a very faint line once, thought it was an evap (never had one of those before), got pissed, threw the test out (I got it back out of the trash that night), and later was told that I was preggo after the blood test the same day. I do like the idea of continuing to test to make sure your levels go up. I actually did that, every 48 hrs and they did go up.

I don't have a picture but I had a clear blue digi false positive! Yep.. read the words pregnant and started my period the very next day! Im not sure I will ever trust that test again.
