when are your gender scans??

When are your gender scans? My doc won't schedule mine until 22weeks. I read that anytime after 16 weeks the gender can be determined from an us. my next monthly appointment is two weeks from now, I'll be 18 weeks, and I will have an ultrasound. If I ask the doc may tell me what he thinks it is but would you ladies depend on that scan at 18weeks to correctly determine gender or should I wait for my actual gender scan to break the news to everyone? Hoping for a girl but will be happy with either.

Here (UK) we have a 20 week anomoly scan which some hospitals will tell you the sex at if they can tell.

You can book private scans from 16 week to find out the gender. I'd deffo ask at your 18 week one if they can tell - it should be pretty accurate by then! Maybe find out then but wait till the 22 week one to announce to everyone?

yeah, that is kinda what I thought but I am soooo impatient!! If they say boy, I'm pretty sure it'll be a boy, but if it is difficult to see or they say girl I will definitely wait cause I don't wanna announce girl and then it be a case of hidden boy parts. Lol!!!

I had a private one at 16 weeks but baby wouldn't open it's legs so they calked me back at 18weeks, they told me 98% sure it's a girl. My 20 week anomaly scan on the NHS was bad so I again paid for a private one at 21+3, she was confirmed a girl, but they needed to call us back to double check babies heart at 21+5 and again she was confirmed a girl. There was no denying it

I found out with DD at 17+4 that she was 100% a girl. It was clear & obvious. I'm going this Thursday, I'll be 18 weeks exactly, to find out this time! If your ultrasound tech knows what they're doing it shouldn't be a problem at all.

I'm in uk mine is Saturday i will be 16 weeks and 4 days it's private though nhs scan isn't till 20 weeks

We found out with our son at 15+1. This time we have booked a private gender scan at 16+4 and will confirm at our 20 week NHS scan.

Had mine with DS at 18 weeks, and will be having this one done on August 19th, at 18 weeks. That's when my OB always does them.

Yep I've done lots of image searching on Google to see what it looks like at that point and I 100% think they will get it. Ill confirm it at my nhs at 21+6 but if it's a boy there will be no denying it by that point xx

Yeah, boys are easier to identify that's for sure. Both my boys displayed themselves proudly during ultrasounds throughout my last two pregnancies.

Mines is August 8th I'll be 18 & 5. Hoping for a boy but have a feeling its a girl. I'll be happy either way .

My anatomy scan was at 18 weeks with dd she's all girl, I found out by accident (it was obvious) that this one was a boy at just 13w4d confirmed at 18 weeks and again at 19w3d. 18 weeks is plenty far enough along granted the baby cooperates. X

I paid for a private one at 15w6d and it was 100% boy. He opened his legs nice and wide for us... no denying. My regular ultrasound where they could tell wasn't scheduled until 20w.

Mines not until the 18th of August, and I'll be around 19+6. Wish I could find somewhere that do gender scans without doctors referral!! Guess I'll just have to wait

I had a private scan this past Saturday and was 16 to the day. Took some work because baby kept swirling around but we found out we are team blue! Our scan with the ob will be done in 3 weeks.
