Hiya. My little girl was born at 28+6 and turned 1 in December. I was just wondering when she can have cows milk? Can she have it now or does she need to wait until her corrected age?
She can have it at 1 actual age according to my pead but we waited quite a while before changing. There's no rush really (although formula is a bit more expensive, granted!)
I didn't ask our Ped but decided on my own to wait until she is a year, adjusted. Same goes for medications/foods/etc, I'm using adjusted, not actual, age just to play it safe.
My daughter was 11 months actual when we switched to cows milk. It was early, but she was fighting formula and hardly drinking any. I picked up a 1L cows milk and gave her a little bit and she loved it. She had cows milk during the day and flavoured toddler formula at bedtime for a couple of months. Her weight shot up right after we switched her to milk because she loved it and wanted to drink it a lot more than formula.
