just wondering when the placenta begins to take over ?

I think its about 10 weeks? But I might be wrong!!

Yes, the placenta is formed by about 10 weeks and starts to take over properly from that point.

Yea It says in my book too that starts to form and take over between 7-10 weeks xx

my doc told me its starts to take over around 9 weeks(ish) but isnt fully up and running and functional until about 14 weeks

this is why alot of ladies start to loose their symptoms around 9/10 weeks its nothing to worry about its just your placenta starting to take some of the jobs off your body x

thanks for this post..im almost 9 weeks and my boobs arent as sore but I'm defo getting weird flutter twinges..

I'm hoping it is placenta starting its shift..

this could explain a lot for me then altho i have bin hit by a bug so i feel like poop xx

I hope that means by next week my sickness will start to fade if the placenta takes over fully, really hope im not one of the unlucky ones thats stuck with this for months!!

I have hardly had any symptons even less now! Only 9 days to go until my scan :-)

According to my ticker my babies are now starting to take nutrients from the placenta. I am 11 weeks today. I am really hoping that this also means that my sickness is on its way out.

Yeah my MS is still there but not as horrific as before. Its a little more manageable, but still awful. Get working placenta!!!!

Ugh, I'm just starting with MS, but it seems to hit after lunch and stay until just before bed time. Four weeks to go I guess! My mom was sick throughout most of her pregnancies-- really hoping I don't get it that bad!

im hoping after i get over my flu i have a lot more energy so i can do things that need to be done xx

I have had bad morning sickness since around 6 weeks and have actually thrown up at least twice a day! Over the past few days it seems to have eased off a little! Is this normal, or should I be worried?
