When is V-Day and the 3rd tri?

Hi,

My wife and I have been pregnant now for 23 weeks

I've got a book that we read every day displaying what's going on etc. Yesterday, at 23 weeks and 1 day, it said that the baby is viable. Is this true?

Also, we got an email from one of the many baby e-newsletters we are subscribed to and it said "Welcome to the second trimester".

So are we really in V-Day and in the second tri?

Edit to say I mean THIRD trimester

you go to the second tri at 12 weeks :S and i always thought you was viable at 24 weeks because that is when the baby is most likely to servive outside the womb.

V-day is 24 weeks (23 weeks and 5 days technically!) I am not sure about 3rd tri? Maybe 28 weeks? Congrats on making it this far! Over halfway there!

3rd trimester starts at 27 weeks and the baby is viable from 24 weeks x
