Hi!
I don't think I'm even close to 'test' time but I'm trying to decide a day to start testing as to make sure I'm not really 'wasting' a test by testing wayyyy to early...
I've run into an issue and though I feel like the answer is staring me in the face, I'm having a hard time facing it and need some clarification....
Okay, DOCTOR'S say this is way things go after ovulation...
It takes 6 to 12 days for implantation to occur
It takes 3 to 4 days to produce enough HCG to give a positive blood pregnancy test
It takes an additional 2 to 3 days to produce enough HCG to give positive Urine test...
So based on THAT info, the earliest you can get a BFP, is 11DPO
I see a LOT of women getting BFPs at 8, 9 and 10 DPO....
I had a positive OPK on CD 15 (Feb 12th) If I base my numbers off of that, I'd be 6DPO, (like I said, I know it's way to early to test lol) but I'm being on the safe side as OPKs can predict ovulation within the next 24-48 hours so I'm going to say I probably O'd on CD 16 (Feb 13th) because when I tested on CD 17, I got a negative OPK again. (I was curious to see if I O'd or not lol)
So based on all the doctor's numbers, I shouldn't test until at least CD 27/11DPO (Feb 24th) That kind of seems off to me...
So I'm thinking there's a way to tweak these numbers...
I do want to wait to test until I'm sure I'll have a chance that I'll get a positive, but I am also very impatient... so I'd like to try and test as early as possible..... and I have those really sensitive tests waiting for me this month, the ones that can detect as low as 10 mIU soooooo I have a handful of these tests and I did everything I could to make sure we caught the eggy this time around so I'm really praying things went right and I'm excited to test this month
Any advice would be helpful
I'm assuming you might be about to implant at 5dpo, or possibly these dates are also for higher mIU pregnancy tests, I dunno, any insight is welcome ^_^
