when will i beable to test?

Hi Everyone

I am currenty on clomid days 3 to 7 100g im now on cd 17

just wanted to ask when i will be able to test for pregnancy and would i have finnished ovulation now as my strong positive ov test was thursday was ovulation from sunday bd for 5 day after that

Its no different on Clomid than it is off it. Your luteal phase will remain the same. What I don't quite understand is your timing.

Your test was positive on Thursday yet you only started BD for five days from Sunday? Is that right? If that is the case you have almost certainly missed the egg.

I'm confused too, did you mean the previous sunday? If you bd'ed 5 days from the sunday before your darkest positive OPK, then you timed it perfectly. If not, then it's likely you missed it. You can test 14 days from your day of ovulation, or a bit earlier if you want to. Are you charting? Is this your first cycle of clomid?

had light positives from sunday23rd doc told me to start bd had bd everydays from sunday till thursday as i had a strong positive on that day

doc said sperm has to be there b4 i get a dark positve

hope i have done this right yea i first cycle

How come you are on Clomid if this is only your first cycle? Just curious...do you mean your first cycle of Clomid?

Yes, it has to be there when the egg is released but it doesn't do anything to your luteal phase as far as I know so you just test when you would normally test. Or, you wait until you don't come on and then test, which always seemed to make more sense to me because why waste money on a test when your period is not even due yet?

I dont ovulate on my own i already have a son who is 4 he was conceived naturally

Fingers crossed for your this month and also good news on the ovulation!

If you are counting Thursday as ovulation day then Friday would be 1dpo... i would try desperately to wait until 12dpo to test! If you can't then wait 2 days in between testing so that if your is due, you give your hormones a chance to rise and show it.
