When your really hungry

I made some granola bars the other day and I have one of them. I had hubby cut them into varying sizes so I could have some as breakfast and some as snacks. Really filling and very moreish.

Thanks, I will have a look into making some! Fruit just wasn't doing it for me, I had 2 have a roses chocolate, low fat yoghurt, 1 slice of toast, 1/2 grapefruit 2 satisfy me!! Even then I was hungry within an hour!

A
4tbsp olive oil
250ml golden syrup
4tbsp honey
2tp vanilla extract
600g rolled oats
B
100g sunflower seeds
100g sesame seeds
100g pumpkin seeds
200g flaked amonds
100g coconut
200g banana chips

A needs to stay the same but B can be any combination of nuts, seeds and dried fruit totally 800g.

Oven temp 150 celcius

Put all wet ingredients into a bowl and mix.
Add all dry ingredients APART from coconut and banana.
Mix well and put in oven for 15 minutes.
Place back in bowl and add coconut and banana, mix well.
Put back in oven for 10-15 minutes.
Place in a dish to cool down and leave in fridge until set.
Cut into as many pieces as you want.

The total calorie content is 8208, but, if you were to cut it into 30 pieces then it is 273.6 calories, healthy, filling and delicious. Obviously the more you cut it into the less calories are in it.
