Hi there,

I'm having problems winding my LO. I can keep at it for ages but nothing comes up. Does he have to burp at the end of each feed or will there sometimes be nothing to come up? He is also very hiccupy and I'm not sure what I can do about this. Do you think its how he is taking the bottle?

Thanks.

Hannah

Hi, my midwife said that we get too obsessed in the UK with winding our babies and should only spend about 5-10 mins doing it. She said that in most other countries they dont do it. Personally, I wind my 7 week old until she has a burp but sometimes there just isnt one to be had so dont panic too much. With my LO I find that she lets me know she has wind after feeding as she cries anf then is settled after a burp. She was also very hiccupy but its absolutely normal. Hope this helps. Happy burpy Christmas x
