Winter babies

Im actually looking forward to a winter baby, perfect excuse to stay inside after giving birth, and just spending some time with LO before everyone turns up (colds + flu are a good reason to turn people away).

What??! What a stupid thing to say! My first is a Dec baby and this time around I'm due next month. I actually planned them to be born this end of the year so they have a head start to the school year

Jack was an October baby and it worked out pretty well. By the time the spring was here we were ready to get out an about alot more. However I DID get cabin fever when we had all that snow and we couldn't really go anywhere for two weeks!

I am happy to be having a winter baby again

i think it's a wonderful time to have a baby! it's so cosy, you've got lots of special occasions coming up, and come next summer LO will be much more interested in the outside world than a newborn xx

I agree with angelbunny! I am nervous about colds etc but there are tons of lovely things too!

Some people just have to make negative comments!!! I bet those same people would say "oh isn't it a pitty, you'll be worried about sunburn" (or something) if you said you were having a summer baby!

I think winter babies are the best! I'm delighted that my baby will just be learning to crawl and investigate the world just as the weather is getting good again...and we'll be free to go exploring and to the beach etc because she can wear sunscreen...and will actually be interested!

I'm also looking forward to hybrinating for a bit after she comes and just getting to know each other! So cozy!

The one thing that has surprised me the most about pregnancy is the things people come out with...honestly...it brings out the crazy in people!

my first was a july baby and second was a january baby, and in both pregnancies noone ever said it was a shame, and with this one everyones just saying aww a xmas baby lol i think its a very small minority of people whod think that and just ignore them hun did they even justify saying what they said with an excuse? id have deffo slapped them if it was me and blamed it on the hormones lol x
