The NHS screening leaflet says to drink plenty of water before your 12w but not necessarily required for 20w one.

Maybe just call up and ask, or drink it and if you don't need to then you can pee when you get there. I never had to drink any water before any scan and was always asked to empty my bladder before I was scanned, so I think it varies depending on where you are.

Yes! My letter said 1L an hour before. The fuller your bladder the clearer the scan

Where I go they don't want you to have a full bladder. If you do they make you go to the bathroom. I think if they did the say anything or your letter doesn't mention it then probably not.

I would suggest doing it and you can easy nip to the bathroom otherwise

My letter also says 1 pint 1 hour before

My letter said 2 pints an hour before but there was no way I could drink that much so I just had one and it was fine.
