Ugh! Its only been a week and I'm in 2nd tri and I come home exhausted! I don't know if I can do this for 4 more months! I'm not lucky enough to have a job where I can leave my work at work cause I ALWAYS have more to do. I can't take naps cause I get home barely before bed time. I can't sleep at night due to being uncomfortable already! I don't get afternoon breaks and I am barely holding my eyes open after 1pm! I try to do as much as I can at work, I arrive at 7am and leave between 5-6pm. I have two older boys so when I get home there is always dinner, dishes and laundry, then lesson planning or reviewing the next days schedule.
I just wanna cry!! I'm so exhausted and emotional. How do women do this??

urgh that's a lot to handle. I also don't like the thought of working everyday during my pregnancy, but I only work 9 hour days and don't have any other children (except the hubs!)
I know you said you cant leave early as there is always more work, but can you ask for help from someone else at work or take a few days off "sick leave" to get yourself a small break from work?
I hope you can get some time to yourself and keep stress levels down, sorry I'm not much help.

Ugh that sounds exhausting! You are a rockstar

I'm only part time and struggle to get through so have no idea how you are managing. I was working full time when pregnant with dd and ended up having to go off at 6 months. You have my sympathy hun :( x

I worked til 20 weeks and then it was time for the summer holidays. I struggled to be honest, and my performance wasn't very good. Now there is in no way on earth I could work, I get tired just going down the supermarket, so I do feel for you! X

Im deputy manager of a preschool. so im lucky to be off for summer right now.. (so im from week 10 to week 16) but im dreading going back .. im so tired and my temper is so short these days :(

You are not alone! But I agree you are a rock star for doing all this with two boys! Although this will be my first child, I am INCREDIBLY exhausted every day. I also work long hours (usually 10 hours with a commute) and I feel like I am stumbling around by the end of the day from the fatigue. I get home at 6:30 pm, eat dinner, do some household stuff, and go to bed by 8:30. I hardly spend time with my husband during the week. I am miserable most days and just want to cry and quit work! LOL I've tried telling my boss, and while she understands, she was one of those crazy energetic pregnant women! (Every woman and pregnancy is different, I've heard...and the fatigue has hit me hard!) I actually called off work today just to get some rest because I'm so burnt out, and I rarely call off sick.

I've also been wondering how I'm going to make it another 5 months!! I honestly have no idea...

I figure this working while pregnant just gives practice for when we are juggling everything afterwards too... I am always tired, but I'm SAD when I think how little time I'll have to spend with my baby when I go back after my 9 weeks of maternity leave. Every day I think about calling in sick or stopping work before I deliver, I remind myself it's one less day I get to spend with my baby later and somehow push through.

I'm a teacher on summer Hols. I was signed off for a month before they started as well. I sleep at home every afternoon. September will soon be upon us and I will be doing the 7am-5pm thing too. Am totally dreading it tbh, although I miss having lots to do. I'm not really doing anything to make me tired either at the moment. Thank goodness I have an assistant!

"I only work 9 hour days". I only work 7 hours 12 per day (36 hours per week) and I'm still exhausted! Mind you the amount of work I have to do in that time exhausts me!

I know how you feel. I work 8 hours a day but it's an hour's drive to & from and I bring my 11 month old daughter and my 6 year old step daughter to work with me. It is utterly exhausting and getting home is absolutely no relief because there's always dinner, dishes, cleaning, bath times, and load after load of laundry waiting for me there. My DH works 7 days a week so I can't ask him to help pick up the slack since he just can't. So I feel for you. I can barely keep my eyes open either. I live for the weekends (although I still have the two kids to look after, so not MUCH of a break there!) :hugs:

Mrs. Lemon-- sorry to say if yours is like mine its gonna be rough! I feel better today but its FRIDAY! I teach 1st grade (6-7 year olds). Its crazy! I'm up and down all day! I was lucky to be off for summer break from week 10-17 which was the worst of my MS! Now I'm just exhausted by lunch and my back hurts more than I ever remember during second trimester!
I wish

exactly! No matter how hard and exhausting working is I tell myself I must save my days for time with my baby!

I have no issues with working, but I'm not as quick as I used to be. But I've Been Thinking About Getting Another Job Working 15 To 20 Extra Hrs a week. Just To Bring IN Extra Money Before LO Gets Here.

good luck! As long as you can handle it, the extra income will always help. I tried that with DS#2 but ended up having to quit both jobs due to pregnancy complications at about 5 months. I'm in month 5 now with this one and no signs of complications yet! Praying they stay away! Best of luck to you!

I feel for you all! It's tough being pregnant and working. I'm certainly struggling more this time around, I think it's because I'm bigger. I'm a residential care worker, working 12 hour shifts. Last week I worked 56 hours in 5 days and it almost killed me!

I'm leaving 1st October so not long left - Counting down the weeks! :D xx

That's my fear, that if I push it I'll end up on bed rest. Already had a scare earlier in the pregnancy with my cervix measuring short, but was remeasured and was normal length. Everything thing is up in the air. Already working 40+ hrs a week at the clinic. My OH is totally against another job.

Ug! Me, too! I thought it was bad with my son just working 40 hour weeks (I was much sicker with that pregnancy, though). Now I'm working 52 hours a week with commute and I have a two year old at home! I feel for you. I'm so exhausted!

I guess I don't have it as bad as many ladies. I feel for you all too! At least I have weekends and holidays off! I am hearing of so many ladies working over 5 days a week! I pray for all of us. I plan on just taking it one week at a time. Just tell myself "make it to Friday". lol!
