I was going to get Jacob a train set of some sort for christmas/birthday but then realised i have a storage bag with a little people train/zoo/garage/fire station in that were DS1's 7 years ago when he was Jacobs age..so im thinking of getting them down and wrapping them and giving them either as Christmas gifts or Birthday gifts..i have got him about £70's worth of gifts already so could spilt them and the little people stuff so he gets new/used for both..would it be worng to recycle DS1's toys like this?

Nope lol Christmas is expensive and baby toys even more so! If you have something you could re use from years ago I'd go for it! It might even become his favourite thing!

At least 50% of rivers birthday and Christmas presents are second hand. At the end of the day its not the cost ir quantity of the presents we give its how much our los enjoy them that matters

Nothing wrong with it although I prob wouldn't do it I'd buy 2nd hand off ebay for her but not give something i bought my older child as a present for my younger child IYKWIM? i'd just give them it to play with but not as a gift.

I plan on doing this whenever we have more children. I don't really want a million toys around my house so I don't feel the need to continually buy things for each child. I will get each child their own special gifts but not excessively IYKWIM.

Thats how i was thinking Blah, one of hid gifts i have for him is 2nd hand off ebay and that is fine, it just seemed mean to re-gift one of Joshuas toys to Jacob..no idea why though!
I have solved the problem though, Josh is going to give them to Jacob..so hes able to give something to him all by himself which makes Joshua happy and in turn makes me happy as it saves me buying the stuff lol
