Just wondered what people's views on this were?

I wouldn't...Harvey drinks juice or water, saw a mother give her child a drink of coke and it just made me go

xx

No I wouldn't, Erin has water 99% of the time and otherwise has pure orange juice that we water down. I can't imagine giving her anything else.

Yes, they only get it as a treat and only once in the day, but they do get it

Erin will have a sip of mine occasionally, but she normally has water or weak juice.

No, i never offered fizzy drinks when my eldest daughter now 7 ask to try some of my coke - i let her and she didnt like it anyway but if she did it would be a treat drink - she drinks milk, juice and water and my youngest daughter only drinks milk and water - doesnt like juice at all and hasnt even enquired about fizzy drinks and she is 3 - i wouldnt give it to her as i dont see the need at the moment but i know lots of people who do x

My LO is only 15 months so no, not at the moment :haha:
But when he is older, maybe like 5, I may let him have a taste as a treat. Wouldn't make it a regular thing.

Yep, he's had fizzy drinks a few times. Usually just a sip or a little bit watered down in a glass - he wouldn't get a can to himself

Jacob's had a sip of a fizzy drink before, but no I wouldn't give him a whole fizzy drink to himself. He has watered down fruit juice or water.

Yes but not realy by choice, hes a drink thief.
Most of the time he drinks water or milk and iv only recently just started letting him have juice but every now and then ill forget that iv left my coke unguarded and the monkey grabs a mouthfull.
Its not all the time and its only a mouthfull once in a blue moon but im not going to threat over it, he has very good brushing habits and doesnt eat many sweets so a sneaky mouthfull isnt going to harm him.

Joshua has had a few mouthfuls of coke but wouldn't give him a full glass/bottle/can. He has the odd sips from me but I don't drink fizzy drinks very often anyway.

My neice is a little ninja and has little sips of my brothers, mums anyone else who leaves their drink unwatched for more than 5 seconds :haha:

No I wouldn't specifically buy him a fizzy drink over water/juice but if he was really thirsty and all I had was a fizzy drink right there and then id let him have a few sips till I could get him a drink, which wouldn't ever really happen as i always take a drink for him where ever we go but that would be the only situation where he would if he had to iygwim. x

Might have been for a health issue. My niece has coke because she can't digest food, long history of health problems and operations, and the coke assists to break down food if it gets stuck. Sister gets awful looks when she gives it to her, but it's a must sometimes if she's been allowed non puréed food. Niece is three.

No my LOs only have suger free juice & water but I have let my DS try it a few times before & he always says he has a belly ache straight after or actually throws up so it wouldn't be worth giving it to him anyway! xx

Shoot me now cos Kyla had a whole can of orange tango yesterday with her takeaway chicken.

Bad mother award please? :haha:

No. I cringe seeing little kids drinking fizzy juice. Horrible :/
