Would you hire a wet nurse?

Havnt read the whole thread its a long thread but I dont think I would hire I would buy breastmilk first but after that if I couldnt do that yes to wet nurse. I would feel jealous of their bond as I am mummy as I know what that bond feels like but I want him healthy. I say if you could get a wet nurse you could get breaskmilk so she could express or something.

I have to say it didn't occur to me to buy EBM - I wouldn't know where to buy it from! If it was possible and economically viable I'd definitely consider it in the future though (assuming I couldn't BF myself).

i dont think anyone said or hinted that formula was disgusting  each to their own and all that. I'd rather have human milk for my baby, not cows milk

No. I wouldn't be able to see another woman BFing my child

I would have felt very sorry for the wet nurse if i would have had one for the first 4 months of LO's life, Even my great BF buddies said if I'd of managed to BF he would have been attached 24/7 and i would have had boobs the size of footballs!!. Even the health visitor who is really pro BF said i would of struggled to keep up with him because of the sheer speed he grew.

Anyway back on topic, i couldn't cope with seeing him attached to another person but i wouldn't have minded EBM.

just because... https://www.thinkbaby.co.uk/pregnancy-news/mum-feeds-her-friends-breast-milk-cakes/2600.html would YOU eat her cakes??? xx

 !!!
My mate used to take her expressed milk into work because she had sooo much, and put it in her tea and on her cereal. And when she made tea for others, she would put it in their tea too .......
Praps she should have looked into donating it !!

^ hmm, yeh - I think I would! Does breastmilk taste like cows milk? I wish I'd had a taste of mine! OH wouldn't. He was like Chandler in that Friends episode.
xx

:haha::haha:

I wouldn't no. But good on her if thats what she wants to do

LOL @ one of the comments about "would you eat a sperm sandwich"

I'll try anything me :)

I have tasted mine (to check it was ok for LO). it tasted really sweet and not like milk at all. In fact ... I went to Iceland last year and had some cows milk, their cows are unique to Iceland and produce very different milk to the cows milk you get here, it was very very sweet and light. I cant stand cows milk usually  it tastes like phlegm to me ... but that cows milk was lovely. And my milk tasted a bit like that.
You all wanted to know that I'm sure :haha:  Im presuming though that BM normally tastes similar. Maybe I'll try it in some tea!

Maybe.... I'd prefer to be a wet nurse rather than hire one tho!

breastmilk tastes like the milk at the bottom of your bowl after eating frosties - exactly

lol, when I first read that I thought ''why would Iceland have their own special cows, why not use the same ones Asda and Sainsburys do...'' then I realised you meant the country :dohh: All I can remember about my BM was how sticky it was! Expressing it and having sticky fingers and the bottle being all sticky where it had spilled over the sides.
xx

^omg jess so true!

I was gonna say Holly, that would be some WEIRD mayo
