WTC anc child care - changing amount

I go back to work the first week in Feb. Obv I need to claim for child care, but how long will it take for tax credits to change the amount? as my bill will be at the end of feb and needs paying within 10 days of date. I'm struggling to find child care as it is until DS can start at the nursery at the End of April - but then he is only there will August when DD starts school.

The other option is child minder , but I need to get that sorted ASAP.

I've just had a look at my bank statement and it didn't go in until 3 weeks after I started work (and I would have rang them the day I started!) that seems quite slow though. I remember having to pay not only the month but 6 weeks nursery fees up front because I started July 10th so I had to pay until the end of August. Can't even remember how we managed it lol seeing as I wasn't paid until end of aug, but we will be using savings and replenishing them when I go back next year.
