Hehe this is a bit of a silly post but I just wanted to tell you all about it. I have so got the hang of this DIY thing :happydance: I have managed over the last few weeks to decorate my lounge, build a new TV unit, build a new toybox for James's room, paint my bathroom.....and rearrange my bedroom. All on my own :haha: So why do we need men?! Us single mummies are awesome when we put our minds to it

i was dreading d i y without my oh around to do it, but at 5 months pregnant i managed to build my sons new room, build baby 2s nursery all by myself. aswell as a dining table and a crosstrainer.

the only thing im having trouble with is catching and getting rid of big spiders!

Hehe, I painted all my living room the other week and im getting ready to get the hall way done :happydance: we can do anything when we are put our minds to it............. WHO NEEDS MEN??????? not us, hehehe  x

Hehe go girls. Yeah the spider thing gets me too. I just scream, spray them with something and then squish them with a shoe oops.

Go team single mum!!!

I re-wired a plug on sunday AND mowed the lawn. I had never done either of these things in my life!!! and they were so bloody easy!

Men are waaaaaaay over-rated!

im so scared of spiders i cant even kill them hahahaha.

im going to buy a spider catcher so i dont have to go near them but can get them out of my house lol

Go you!

I put my LO's cot together single-handedly last week and was ridiculously proud of myself :haha:

I mowed the lawn for the first time too!! :happydance:

And I put air in my car tyres all by myself!!!:happydance:

It is ridiculously easy!!!.. men just pretend that it's so hard so we keep them around but really they aren't worth it!!

next on the list is to put a new toilet seat on! :haha:

xx

I quite enjoy doing DIY to be honest

I recently put together my TV unit and nest of tables, Painted the downstairs loo, hung pictures on the wall. I mow the lawn regulary (I don't enjoy this :haha:) It's a great sense of achievement! :happydance:

I sorted out my flat tyre today. Without panicking or crying

We should have a new sticky thread for the things we have done that we never thought we could!

Now i need to think of a catchy title...

I'm back again!

Tonight I have been mostly building a cabinet. I am sweaty, injured and tired but I DID IT!!! (the doors don't quite match up but never mind...)
