kacey is 8wks 5 days and up until the other day was taking 4 oz every 3 hours, maybe 5 oz once or twice during the day, about 24-26 oz a day, as she sleeps from about 11pm - 8.30am.
ive always let my girls drink till theyre happy, they would cry if still hungry. when kacey was a few weeks old and still pretty sleepy i would feed her (4oz in a bottle) and after a couple of oz's she'd fall asleep so i'd change her causing her to wake again and 9 times out of 10 she'd want the rest of her bottle. maybe try this with your lo, but if he still doesnt want more then he's probably not hungry. xx
According to my dr, between 1-2 months, LO should be taking in 4-6 oz every 3-4 hours... total number of bottles a day: 6-8. Then between 2-3 months, LO should be taking 5-8 oz at the same interval and number of bottles.
My LO rarely ever takes more than 4 oz in one serving. On average he takes about 3 - 3.5 oz a serving, so we're the same as each other. How many oz total does yours take a day on average? (just curious more than anything). We're at about 24 oz a day now. 2.5 oz - 4 oz every 2 - 4 hours. Big span of oz. and big span of hours I know. I'm working on getting that worked out in the next couple weeks. I'd like to stick to 3-4 hours if possible. I just seem to feed at the first sign during the day. Often I'll feed 2 oz and then 2 hours later feed another 2 oz. Makes me think I could have waited 4 hours and fed 4 oz. My mom says I was a pokey eater though and snacked all day, and looks like my bubbie is doing the same thing.
