J22 lovely bump! Nice new look top, I have that too ;) x

Thanks hun...our bumps are coming along now! I think I'm going to get some more New Look tops on order for when the family come over again next month! I'd like some summer dresses too but maybe they're a bit more difficult to risk buying without being over there x

I don't mind at all lol :) All I really do is stick to the same eating schedule I did pre-pregnancy. I also had BAD morning sickness up until 17 weeks.. So I started at 127.8 lbs. Went down to 120 the whole time I was sick, and then went back to normal weight at 21 weeks, then have been slowly gaining ever since. Im now at 135.8 as of today (I weigh myself every stinking day lmao). All I eat is 3 meals a day, I don't like "grazing" because it makes me feel unhealthy... Like after you eat a huge meal... I also have had ALOT of cravings that I didn't give in to, such as chili cheese fries, McDonalds burgers, etc. all I allowed myself to give in to was boiled peanuts. I couldn't get enough of them! Oh! And since DH was worried about my body, and the babies health, we both agreed to cut fast food out of my diet. Sure it is convenient and tasty, but it's not good for the baby. I also used to eat mayonnaise with EVERYTHING, but as soon as my morning sickness hit, I couldn't (and still can't) touch the stuff anymore. Dh and I joke that the weight I lost in the beginning was my "mayo weight"! He is a trip..

I definitely think that my motivation is the pickiness of my husband. He has always been picky about my weight. Not in looks but in numbers.. I just want my husband to still be attracted to me, even though I have this big belly. Lol.. And I'm terrified of stretch marks... Lmao

Sorry about my rambling, I just didn't want to leave anything out. Lol
And every woman and pregnancy is different, so I'm sure that you are glowing, reguardless of your weight gain! Pregnancy is beautiful! At least you go back down to 115 after! I wish I could go back that far! :) Congrats on your little one!

I have been struggling on whether or not to comment on this, and I feel like I need to. It really upsets and bothers me that your husband places such a high importance and value on how much you weigh. Does he not understand that you are pregnant and you are supposed to gain weight and get bigger in order to give him a baby?? Weight gain in pregnancy is so temporary, and its such a shame that he has made you feel like you have to follow certian rules and stay at a certian number, especially while pregnant!
Most, if not all OB's recommend a weight gain of 25-35lbs. 15 lbs is *usually* not enough, unless you are overweight to begin with.

Please, please consider the health of your baby, and do not let the numbers on the scale influence how much you eat. Your baby needs for you to eat and gain weight so he can be born at a healthy weight.

I hope this didnt offend. I am honestly just concerned about you and your baby.:flower:

I sort of wanted to comment too but didn't know how to put it without risk of offending, I think u worded that very well runnergrl :)
hell me and OH hate that im putting on weight and he has made the odd RARE comment but he also says how its all worth it and itll be ok cos he will help me out when dieting after pregnancy.. I definitely think id rather have a bit of extra weight for a while and a few stretch marks and be confident my baby is happy, OH can lump it, its not forever xx

23 weeks pic :) I feel like am really expanding now! Although am not weighing myself at all (we don't own a scale thinking about it...) - is that bad? I am just relying on my midwife/doc to do that at my appointments.

Oh by the way I have that new look top too!

Miniamo- I don't own a scale either. What's the use? The doctor can measure progression. Eat healthy, exercise, minimize stress whenever possible. That's my 'diet' lol. You have a beautiful bump!

And if my husband had a problem about weight gain at ANY time, we would have a problem. I feel like the support and love needs to be there regardless of weight. Very well-worded runnergrl!

....Anyways.

I'm so jealous of everyone's bumps! My bump has literally not changed in weeks. I'm still pretty early with my first, so it's to be expected, but you ladies should all rock your bumps! They're lovely.

I feel the same way! I'm 16 weeks 1 day and still flat as a board...

I have to agree with Runner Girl. I wanted to say something too, only for the fact that you were giving advice to another women. I don't think a man should put such emphasis on weight especially during pregnancy.

My OH was actually reading this unbeknown to me over my shoulder in bed last night and he strongly disagreed with monitoring anyone's weight unless it's one of his clients (personal trainer)

This isn't an attack at all, each to their own in my opinion. I just hope other people know that there's no need to be so strict during pregnancy and don't let any man worry you about it... in my opinion!!

No offense to anyone but I agree with the above posters. Unbelievable to me how some men can manipulate a pregnant woman into "dieting" during a pregnancy. I am for eating healthy if that is your thing but not being so strict as to only gain 15 pounds when you are under weight to begin with or average sized. With my first son I started at 115 lbs, at 5'7" my dr referred to me as emaciated! She was ecstatic when the pounds packed on :/.. I had a tiny bump but gained nearly 70 pounds with him! She was happier than a pig in poo. Personally if it were me I would sit at the dinner table one day and shove a big mac, large fry, and a large milkshake in my mouth right in front of him..then have a double serving of dessert (something fattening) of course...

You're probably sick of people saying this but, you really will pop!! I've popped again this week!! I'll upload a pic tomorrow :flower:

I hope so! I keep waiting every day to wake up and be like "ohhh, now i look pregnant!"

By the way, since everyone else is voicing their opinions, I just want to say, as long as our bodies, minds, babies, and relationships are all healthy, that's all that matters. Only you can judge yourself and your own life, and it's not our place to comment. Now, let's keep this board happy, healthy, and friendly. We all face too many toxins in our personal lives to bring it here.

Couldnt agree more!!! I eat what i want when i want and how i want my dh or anyone wont tell me a darn thing. Thank you for responding to her in a polite way xx

I take no offense to the previous posts <3 We are all entitled to our opinions. :) I merely posted what I do, because Tower6 asked me. :) My husband isn't "hard on me" about my weight, he really doesn't care. He is very aware that this is what comes along with pregnancy. Please be assured that I wouldn't do ANYTHING that would hurt my baby. I decided on my weight plan after talking to my midwife. She told me that as long as my baby is growing nicely (which he is measuring a week ahead), then the personal goal I chose Is absolutely fine. She told me that if I wasn't gaining enough, she'd send me to a nutritionist.. If I gain more than 15lbs, oh well, it's no big deal. :) I just eat how I feel like I need to eat. I don't over do it with the excuse of being pregnant, if that makes sense. I just kept the same eating regiment I had before pregnancy. I wasn't, and am not on any "diet", I just cut the extremely unhealthy fast food out of my life. Just trying to help everyone understand that I wasn't trying to give anyone advice, or offend anyone. I just have a personal goal. :) and as long as my baby is not harmed by it, I don't see any problem with it , nor does my midwife. :) Have a good day ladies, and I do appreciate your opinions! If I would've known I was offending anyone, I wouldve declined to tell Tower6 my lifestyle.

Everyone's bumps are looking great! Miniamo, you are adorable! I don't own a scale either, every 4 weeks at my check ups I see what I weigh :) It's always a surprise! haha

Here's my bump at 18 weeks.
