My hair has been falling out since my daughter was born, which I expected. What u didn't expect /remember was the amount of hair that comes out! Each time I wash it great big clumps come out and when I straighten it it's ridiculous!
I'm scared I'm going to go bald!!
How long does it last? Should I be worried?

Thanks

My hair loss was most significant during months 3 and 4 after the birth. I'm still losing some hair when I brush it and wash it, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was then. I think the hair loss was the most annoying thing I dealt with postpartum, and that includes going through a delayed postpartum hemorrhage that required a D&C and blood transfusions (very bad and serious at the time, but it didn't last anywhere near as long so I was able to move past it a lot sooner). :dohh:

It's tailing off for me now (started around 3 months PP), which is the same as with my son. Over it! New hair is starting to grow in through the thin patches at least.

Mine started at 4 months and omg its silly how much hair im losing!! Im surprised im not bald either. Nowhere near calming down yet for me unfortunately

Omg I thought I was the only one losing a huge amount I know it's normal just didn't think losing this much was, I'd understand if while pregnant I gained loads of it but I didn't, it's actually really worrying! I hope to god it ends soon I'm scared to wash my hair because of how much is coming out x

The majority of it will be hair retained in pregnancy that would have otherwise fallen out - so that might reassure you a little
