Your major events of 2009 - the good, bad and ugly

Will post mine in a bit as my child is screaming at me. LOL

Good
- Getting back together with OH in february (valentines day )
- Giving birth to Kyla in August
- Moving into my own home in August, instead of living with family

Bad
- Nearly dying whilst giving brith!
- Being diagnosed with PND

jan - had my uncles funeral 7th - 7 days after nan's maddi had gastro flu
july - maddi's first birthday, my little girl is growing up, walking and talking!
aug - decided to bring wedding forward as wanting to start ttc
sept - booked dream wedding
nov - my 25th birthday, suffering terrible tendentious in both elbows
dec - approaching the first anniversary of losing nan

tbh - apart from maddi, the years been - pretty crappy and hoping 2010 will be a good year for us!

My year has been mundane and without progress. Well, I mean, I finished three semesters of courses and I'm almost done my university degree now, but nothing exciting has happened! I'm crossing my fingers that 2010 is the year of change and excitement!!!

Well I guess maybe Renah turning one

Well for us its been booking our wedding and moving home ... oh and Brooke turning 1 shortly, no bad stuff really

Next year will hopefully be another pretty productive year

good:

Hannah has grown so much, she turned a year old, is now walking, talking (kind of), and has a real personality on her. She's a little girl now, not really a baby any longer. (though that part is kind of sad in a way to )

We moved to a bigger place, still renting but there's so much more space and we have a yard for Hannah to play in, which we didn't have before, several childrens parks nearby, all in all much better for us.

met some wonderful people from BnB on here It's nice to be able to get together with other mommy friends

bad:

niece's husband's cancer returned

MIL stopped speaking to us and has not seen her granddaughter since Hannah was 10 months old

Stan's pay got cut by 10% which has really made us struggle for money this year

my mom's cat (family cat really, had him for almost 20 years) passed away

Good:

• Watching Niamh grow up everyday, and her turning one in a few weeks
• Getting to live with OH again (as opposed to him being posted away with the RAF)
• OH and I getting over our rough patch
• Joining the TA
• My Dad finally going into remission for prostate cancer and becoming a spokesperson for Everyman
• My Uncle and Grandfather both publishing successful books in aid of charity
• Meeting a lot of new friends after I moved back to Scotland
• My sister getting into Uni, and I'm so proud of her
• Best friend's hen do, and wedding
• My best friend then getting posted up here too, and moving across the street from me

Bad:

• Losing my job (more good though, as I love being a SAHM )
• Falling out with a friend back where I used to live
• Finding more information about my previous miscarriage

Ugly:

• Losing my Uncle to bowel cancer
• Losing my Aunt to throat cancer
• Friend losing her baby
• OH being seriously ill in hospital
• Niamh failing her newborn blood screening, and testing positive as a CF carrier.

This year has actually been one of the worst in my life, Untill i have Ava very soon i cant think of anything good thats happened.

Apart from getting my Childcare diploma and managing to save some money for having a baby.

Moving home can be looked at as a good thing, but i dont really think so. i had no choice,

Jan - On a course with work (longest week ever but get more money for Q)
Jan/Feb - Spent 3 weeks in Italy (work)
Feb/March - Spent 2 and a half weeks in France (work)
March/April - Spent 4 weeks in Canada (work)
May - Some well deserved time off work to spend with my family
June - Found out i was pregnant!!! Oh b'day
July - Grans cancer comes back
Aug - Chloe is 2 and Gran starts treatment
Sept - Go for a week break away just me Oh and Chloe
Oct - Grans treatment has been succesfull
Nov - Finish majority of x-mas shopping!
Dec - My 25th b-day

2009....Jan - Mat leave
Feb - Gave birth to my 2nd little princess, Charlotte
March - Reserved a house
April -
May - Paid first deposit on house
June -
July - Went to Calla Millor just me and OH
Aug - Chloe was 3
Sept - Gran goes into hosp and has wrong op, becomes really ill
Oct - Other Grans cancer is back
Nov - Back to work
Dec - Starting to pick a kitchen, bathrooms, bedroom suites etc
for the our house (moving in March/April)

Good:

- My honeymoon
- Having Theakston & getting my home birth
- Losing pregnancy weight
- Making new friends

Bad:

- Womb infection & mastitis
- Nearly losing my job & nearly being sued

Pregnancy was a bit rocky but I wouldn't call it a 'bad' thing.

Major Events for me and my family-

Good-
Jack started full-time (big boy) school
DH getting a pay-rise, making our daily life easier and lubricating my purse strings
Celebrating our first wedding anniversary

Bad-
hmmmm i cant think of any bad.we didn't lose anyone, no-ones been hurt, and everyones happy................we have had a very lucky year.

Having Ella
Going on our first family holiday
OH and I going away twice in the year doing something we love for the first time.
My best friend having a baby
Finding out My other best friend is pregnant after so many mcs
Seeing my nan after 5 years, she come over from australia
Seeing my Dad after 5 years again from australia
Moving into a huge house
Putting Carly into sports clubs , like swimming and ballet and she is doing so so well at

Bad-

My cousin died with suspected mengities - but then turned out to be that the hospital turned her life support off when they shouldnt of as she wasnt brain damaged in the end, they didnt do the tests as stated , she could of lived

Saying goodbye to my nan when she came over ..knowing this my be the last time i get to see her

OH nearly having a breakdown due to debt

This year has been the most charges in the banks we have ever had , and been done over by the banks in so many ways which has made us into so much debt

And now im late picking carly up from school!!!! Arghh!! *runs*

Good

Giving birth to Nathan without complications that doctors had told me I was going to have.

Moving from a small 1 bed top floor flat in to a spacious 3 bed house out of town.

Being off work on Mat leave speanding time with Nathan and hubby.

Bad

Hubbys parents causing stress and falling out with us 4 weeks after Nathan was born (only now after 6 months are things starting to get sorted!)

Having gestational diabetes during pregnancy.

So far (fingers crossed for this month!) not getting a 2nd BFP.

Finally getting married after 11 years together
Getting my bfp 3 months after the wedding
Making the decision to moveback to the UK after 2 years in Spain

Bad
My friend dying from a brain haemorrage
OH hardly working resulting in major money worries

Next year will hopefully be a great year. We're moving back to the UK on the 7th Jan so got the whole new year, new start thing going on. Then LO is due in feb. Then I'm starting back at my old job(which I loved) from before we left the UK in April. So hopefully things are looking good for us.

- Booking our Disney holiday for next year
- Mum finished her Chemo and Radio therapy
- Amelia turned 1
- Hubby got a bonus to pay for the holiday!

Bad
- Mum having the chemo and radio therapy
- Going back to work
- Illness in the family, there was ALOT this year

All in all it wasn't too bad

Good:

Moved in March to a bigger house with a secret room for the kids.
Chase crawling, his first teeth, his 1st bday, and his first steps. Yes, my baby is growing up.
Amanda - totally maturing and changed over the year to a little lady. She's still a good child but is now getting emotional.
Jayden - growing up, going into grade 1 and being in school all day, still has his moments but is a good child
We finally had a one week family vacation camping this year and it was great.
Business was kind of slow for the most part of this year and we had some crap employees. However, it's going out with a bang!!!

Bad/Ugly:

2 legal issues this year. One I believe is out of the way but another just beginning next Monday that may or may not make an effect for life as we know it now.

Overall, it's really been a crap year and I so hope that 2010 is the best year ever.

Good:

Caitlyn being born
Moving into a house with just my OH, me and Caitlyn.
Finishing Uni.

Bad:
OH's dad being diagonised with severe lung cancer
Money issues.

It has been a good year for me. In January my hubby finally got a job after 5 months out of work after being made redundant. We got married at the start of April and our first baby is due soon, 9 months to the day of our wedding !

Good:
- went on mat leave
- had a beautiful, healthy baby girl
- turned 20, not a teen mom anymore!

Bad:
- my grandpa went into a nursing home, permanently, the same day my daughter was born
- my grandpa developed Parkinson's disease
- after having Elyse, a womb infection & my c-section opened up, had to be hospitalized when she was 1 week old.
- my dog died

Good

*Getting engaged in Feb.
*Getting a pretty good job in May.
*Finding out I was pregnant in June.
*Moving into our own place in Sept.

Bad

*OH losing his job in Sept.
*OH finding a new job beginning of Nov, then losing it again in Dec.
*Having hyperemesis throughout my pregnancy, but I'm sure he'll be worth it.
*Falling out with my dad over being pregnant, we never got on that well anyway, but we've not spoken since.
