Do you like them, are a good idea, what do people think?

I don't know what they are, off to google it x

Edit: there quite cute, but a little scary, they look so real, I can't decide if I like them or not, defiantly one with it's eyes shut tho x

Basically very very lifelike newborn dolls..... i find them quite unnerving xx

they creep me out.

I know some angel mummies have them made to look like their babies which i can understand but the people who have full on nurserys for them and pushchairs make me feel icky

this is how i find them,i theres just something i dont like about it, but for angel mummys i can understand that in a way (angel mummies please please i hope this isnt offensive xxx):hugs:

I personally don't like them, I find them a bit strange. But each to their own.

I think they're very well made and the people who make them are very talented, but the idea of it creeps me out! x

They creep me out too, they are well made and everything but I just don't like them. I saw the TV programme where they treated them like real children and that creeped me out too. DH's aunty has one, she also treats it like her child (she has other children too but they are grown up) and that creeps me out as well.

They're just not for me!

I admit they creep me out BUT I know that for many women who have lost babies, they are affected in some profound ways and it's a coping mechanism, so it is what it is. My mom lost her first baby and always had dolls around, and then acted really strange around MY baby (who was also a boy), saying that he is the reincarnation etc. ... because she still struggles with this loss (30 years ago).

So I can't really say anything...

I think its amazing how life like some are. That programme freaked me out abit (the one were they treated them like children and spent thousands on clothes and designer bottles for them) but i think thats the extreme i think many people have them made who have lost children which i think is a lovely idea.

My best friend has one and showed it to me one time. It terrified me, seriously. But I have a phobia about dolls anyway.

I didn't know until this thread that people treat them like real sometimes? My friend keeps hers put away in a box.

The people who make them are certainly talented. They can seem unnerving because they are so life like. I don't think there's anything wrong with them though -- like others have said they are a great coping mechanism .. but some people do go to extremes with the care of them.
Gabby on Desperate Housewives went a little crazy with a doll for a bit after her biological daughter had to leave .. if anyone watches that show :)

I hadn't heard of them until just now but I don't see the harm if they help someone xx

I had one made to look like my son who died as a baby. Beautiful work of art and i think of them as more as a 3D picture. My doll is on a shelf in the living room and i rarely pick it up.

I have also made two and really enjoyed it. I'm hoping to continue this hobby. Each to their own though.

I think the dolls are amazing but what some people do with them is really WEIRD.

I think they're cool. Not creepy. But people treating them like actual babies, now that is creepy.

It would be cool to have one that looks like my son when he was newborn.

i think the woman who did them is seriously talented and they are beautiful. Althought as they are so lifelike i'm not sure i'd want one... so i voted undecided.

Erm, in their gallery, it seems they make Reborn monkeys!
