Neen hun please don't think the worst. Brown stuff usually isn't a bad sign - it sounds as if it could be leftover stuff from way up there working it's way down withh some of your CM.

Unless it is red it isn't necessarily bad news - I had stuff like that early on somewhere during my 4th week and it wasn't anything bad at all

I had this with this preganacy at 6-9 weeks pregnant, was just a bit of old implantation bleeding took its time to clear. Dont lose hope hun x x

Thanks girls.......It's just hard to believe that it will be ok for me. Especially after the last 2 times. Although I never had this both of those times - I had nothing at all that told me anything was wrong.

I've rung NHS direct - they are getting a doc at my surgery to ring me. I'm not sure what to do. I'm going on holiday to Skeg in the morning.

I had that too! First it was small spotting for a day only at 5 weeks, then right before 6 weeks I started getting dark red bleeding that later turned to brown and lasted several days (still seeing a bit of it). I saw the heartbeat during that spotting episode so it definitely doesn't mean it's the end. Hang in there, call your doctor and see if you can get in for a reassurance scan. Best of luck

I'd already arranged an early scan at EPU next Thursday but it seems so far away.

Bead just keeps asking if its bad. He keeps saying "Its doesn't mean its the end does it" - I can't watch his heart break again.

I so so so so so hope i'm like you ladies and have a healthy bean in there - I really really do! xxxx

Doc phoned back - ever get the feeling you know a lot more about pregnancy than they do??

He said there is nothin at all they can do. I just need to rest up. He then said "bring a urine sample in next week so we can see if you're still pregnant" - what a bell-end! I can do that myself!

I don't give a rats ass what he says - if it gets any worse or if I cramp at all I'm heading to A&E x

Beadette i really hope things turn out ok for you. Like the others have said, brown blood is old blood, and although i have (thankfully) never experienced this, i'm sure everything will turn out ok xx

I know you are off on hols tomorrow but just try to take it easy while you are away. I bet that this brown stuff will tail off sooner rather than later and it will just be a bit of old implantation working it's way down.

I've not taken it to heart hun - I know he's probably thinking "what do you want me to do about it"

I did have sex last night and i know this is tmi but i'm a bit constipated at mo and did strain a bit earlier having a number 2! LOL - perhaps its one of those things.

Or perhaps it is something more sinister - I suppose I wont know until next week or I spot again. I will prepare for the worst but hope for the best! xx

Ooh I bled after sex from 5 weeks till about a week ago really frieked me out the first few times. Turns out it is very common coz your cervix is very tender if it is still there in the morning or you get crampy phone your MW or EPU doctors are useless when it comes to this sort of thing.
