2015 November Sweet Potatoes!!! Come out come out wherever you are!!

I will most likely keep the name secret from most people but won't be afraid to share it on here. I feel like if you tell some people they say "oh 'so in so's' dog or cat is named that" or some other type of rude thing about the name lol....

Mimzy-people can be so cruel!!! I am sure your names are cute!!

I've missed so much! :haha:

I can't keep names a secret either :haha: so far for a girl we have Harper, Ella or Niamh and for a boy we have Oscar (but I'm not overly keen. Love the name but one of my good friend's little boy is named Oscar so would be slightly weird for me!)

So I just got some scary news from my midwife. Last week I had an appointment and she did a physical. She felt that my thyroid was enlarged. I've had a history of having a slightly over active thyroid but its never been to the point where I"ve needed to be on medication. She had me go for a test and sure enough I have a hyperactive thyroid. She wants to redo the test in about a month and if still elevated I have to go see a specialist. Has anyone dealt with this? I read some scary things online

Mimzy, my first pregnancy I had the same thing.. All that ended up happening was they watched it every month or so.. they just make sure its not too bad.. I wouldnt worry right off the bat.. Just try to stay away for google with this one.. Breathe easy.. If she didnt want to do anything right this second it probably is not as bad as you think..

Melsue so glad someone else has had this in their pregnancy, I mean not glad that you had it but glad that I can relate to someone! I'm relieved you never had to take any medication and baby was healthy. Did you gain enough weight?

I didn't realize your thyroid can affect your pregnancy! I hope all is ok!!

I love the names ladies!
With DS we had 2 picked out until the day he was born. We really couldn't decide lol. I hope we are a little more decisive this time.

Hi ladies! I've been away on a work trip and just got back Wednesday. Had my first appointment with my midwives (naturopathic doctors/certified professional midwives at a freestanding birth center) yesterday and it went great! Next appointment at 13 weeks we'll have a peek at the heartbeat with the doppler, and we're only going to have one scan at 20 weeks. Seems so much more real now that I've seen a midwife! They are super nice and I def feel like I made the right choice of where to have my baby. :)

I think we aren't going to find out the sex, dh definitely wants it to be a surprise and I'm on the fence. It'd be easier to plan and buy stuff if we knew the sex but on the other hand, my friend just had a baby last week and it was supposed to be a girl and turned out to be a boy! They had to return all the stuff they got at the baby shower and pick a new name and everything haha. Also it would be a little more convenient to have mostly gender neutral clothes and items so we can use them again for the next baby. We've been talking about names, haven't come up with anything definite yet though, I kind of feel like we won't know until we see the baby. His sister had a name picked out for one of her boys but when he arrived she decided he didn't look like that name and picked a new one on the spot. :) So far on our list of possibles we have:
Isla Mae or Isla Madeline, Roslyn Ava, Alina Morgan, or Kendra for girls. For boys we're having a harder time but some are Arran Cole, Levi Alan, Kellan, Raelan, Ronan, Cohen, or Jason. So many to choose from lol!
