This is probably a really silly question but for those of you pregnant with your second baby, when did your bump get hard? I'm 21 weeks now and my "bump" is completely noticeable but it isn't hard at all! So I just feel super fat and lumpy :dohh:

Your bump can change within the same day ;) a lot of it this early is more based on what you're eating and drinking, there was a similar thread to this just the other day and several ladies agreed that their bump can be soft in the morning and hard by evening, this would best be explained by water retention/bloating, I think it also depends on your build, the top half of my belly is decently hard all the time but I think that's because that's where all my organs are and I'm pretty short lol, so there's no extra room...also this is my 3rd and by 16 weeks the top of my uterus was already well above my belly button. ;) I wouldn't worry about it

Also on the height theory and having no room for your organs to go, your profile pic makes it look like you're pretty tall? I'm a half inch shyof 5 feet ;)

I'm only 5'4" so not short, but not tall either - pretty average I'd say! I think my belly does tend to get harder and higher in the evenings due to bloating/water retention but it still doesn't feel hard like a bump lol I don't remember when my belly went hard with my DS but from my photos everything definitely looked a lot tighter and harder by this stage! Just me being silly, and worrying about it :haha: I know baby is fine, and if I press on my tummy I can feel where she is, I just want the proper bump to go with it haha

Hi, I'm the exact same as you and wondered the same thing. My belly has been out there for some time but it's all belly no baby. My uterus is just moving up but it still feels soft. When ppl see me they think it's all baby and I hate for them to touch my belly. After I eat it gets a tad bit harder but nothing like you would expect for how big and round it is. I'm hoping the next few weeks as she grows it's harden up some. Feels so different this time around.

My belly is hard when I stand, but soft when I am sitting.
