I have a 17 day old daughter who I'm exclusively breastfeeding on demand.

My issue is she feeds majority of the time for 10 minutes every 1 1/2 hours through the day and night . Mw has said I need to aim for 10 min each side
Per feed but at times she's just not interested...... What can I do to help her feed for longer but possibly less often? My concern that this schedule isn't going to be able to be maintained in the longterm.

I've tried waking her and offering the other boob but think she's getting too much foremilk . There's only 2 feeds a day she feeds for 20-40 minutes

As long as she is having plenty wet and dirty nappies then she is getting enough. If she isn't getting enough hind milk then her poop will go green and a bit stringy.

Her poop has started to go green yesterday not sure if this is due to the gear over weekend and I was alternating more trying to do as mw said 10mins each side.

Im just surprised I'm having to feed her 18 times a day
