3 weeks post partum & expressing - how much milk should I expect?

Hi,

So breastfeeding didn't work out for me and my LO which broke my heart. I have been pumping since day 4. My daughter is now 3 weeks old. The most I have ever got after double pumping for 20 mins was 135ml (4.5oz) today but it can be as low as 60ml (2oz). I pump 6 times during the day and once, sometimes twice, in the night.

Is this very little?

When bub was younger I would only get about 20-60ml now I am getting between 60-100ml (from both breasts) after a full feed. I think your breasts have to get use to the pump. It use to take like 15mins for my breast to start, but if bub was near my breast it would pour out Now it only takes about 5mins to get started

Have you tried to BF your LO again?
