Fleur, yay for the great scan. I'm so happy everything went well. Your ultrasound pic is so cute...little bean is definitely starting to look like a baby.

Katie, congratulations on your new house! The pictures are beautiful! Homeownership is so exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. As Cutie said, maybe your little bean was just waiting for it's perfect home and will be ready to join the family now that your nest is complete!

Katie- congrats on the house! Absolutely beautiful! I love the wooden floors, easy to clean and looks great! I know your baby is right around the corner. It is def frustrating to deal with cycles that are not reliable every month. I'm still hoping this is your month but if it isn't, I have to believe is soon!!

cutie, happy 20 weeks! September is close but you still have loads of time to prepare for the baby. Do you have an appointment this week (or am I just getting confused)?

Katie, congrats on the new house, it’s gorgeous! It makes me think of houses in American movies where they have big parties and family gatherings etc. I love all the space you’ve got. A friend told me that babies seem to come when their parents move into a new house, so I hope her theory holds true for you too!

crystlmcd, hope you had a relaxing weekend after the horrible week you had at work. Still no results? I can’t believe they’re taking so long (and I live in a developing country where everything is SLOW).

Joy, 29 weeks, not long to go now! Do you have more scans before the birth?

Thanks for all the comments on my scan. DH and my sister are annoyed because I’m calling the baby Voldy (short for Voldemort – he’s in Harry Potter for those who don’t know). In my defence, they do have the same profile. We told our parents and close relatives/friends over the weekend. My mom is very excited and treating me like an incubator (eat more fruit/veg, don’t eat chocolate, be careful when going up the stairs&#8230. I’ve obviously been living in denial about having a bigger belly because people had noticed, so you’re not alone there Twinsie! Went back to the gym on Sunday after 2 months, the coach has prepared a special “pregnancy” workout for me.

Fleur, my appointment is next week. Should be just a check-up. This are going well. Baby is moving more. Inconsistently but more movement. I've been cranking away at my registries and to do lists.

Glad you got to tell a few people. It feels so good but be prepared for them to treat you like an invalid

dr appt went well! Measuring 13 weeks today!!!! Baby had a growth spurt!! and was doing flips! Genetic measurements are normal so far. Blood work results back on Friday to confirm that. My ins wouldn't cover the gender test :/ and I'm not paying $1000! Sooo well see how next wed appt goes! Or next month.. But I swear I saw a little penis for 1/2 a second! DH says no and tech wouldn't confirm! Time will tell!

Fleur- so happy you got to share your news finally with your family. It is surprising when people notice your belly already isn't it!? Granted I haven't been eating the BEST but def getting better and walking more now. I'm up 4.5 pounds since we started ttc so I'm not gonna freak out about it. Plus I'm 13 weeks now so hello second trimester!

I tried to post a pic but internet is slow! I'll post later hopefully!

Fleur: You can tell people you're calling the baby Voldy because you don't want to share the actual name. Isn't Voldemort "he who shall not be named"?? I might steal that for myself, actually!!

AF finally showed up for me yesterday morning, so my hypothesis was correct! CD30. My LP was 17 or 18 days!

I'm going to stick with my plan and take it easy this month. I'm going to keep taking my vitamins and the vitex (although I'm going to take three pills instead of four I think. I must have bought a potent brand!), but I'm not going to use the OPKs or track fertile days or any of that. I'll reassess next cycle and see if the month was more enjoyable for DH and I, or if we should add any of those things back in to the mix.

Thanks for the comments about the house!! We are SO excited. We had our home inspection yesterday, and it went really well. Closing is June 1 now, so now I get to dream about paint colors and read about how to sew curtains. A nice, and altogether more sane, project to focus my attention on right now rather than being pregnant! Our housing situation has been an area of stress for us, as we have been hoping to purchase our first home, so finding something and being under contract is great for so many reasons!

How is everyone else doing? 2b: who makes grapefruit beer?? Sounds SUMMERY!

Fleur - Love the Voldy reference. I'm a huge HP fan. Still no results from the doctor. They've been really good about calling me right away with results from my other tests so it's a little weird. I guess I'll call them in a couple days if I still haven't heard anything.

Twinsie - So happy that you had a great appointment! Good luck in the 2nd trimester!

Katie - sorry AF showed but enjoy a relaxing cycle!

I had a nice long relaxing weekend and even took yesterday off work for a mental health day. I feel much better now and today has been so much better so hopefully the rest of the week is the same.

Good morning everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for the last week or so. I was pretty bummed things didn't work out last cycle and I decided to take a little break from thinking about the whole thing.

Joy- Your bump pic is adorable. You're all baby!

Crystl- I'm sorry they're taking so long with your test results. Fingers crossed everything is all good! I may be joining you with the Clomid next month, or maybe the month after.

Katie- Congrats on the house, it's gorgeous! I'm a big fan of the open floor plan. I'm a kitchen and bath designer, so if you're planning on remodeling and have any questions let me know Vitex is pretty amazing isn't it? I'm so glad it's working well for you.

2b- My stepson is the opposite, he's really small for his age. His mother drank and smoked when she was pregnant (don't even get me started!!!) and he was born with a small hole in his heart. They say he'll catch up eventually, but he still looks about 2 years younger than he is. He definitely has the attitude of teenager though lol.

Fleur- Congrats on the tests going well and I love your pic! LMAO at Voldy, that's hilarious. I'm a huge HP fan as well.

Twinsie- Congrats on starting your second trimester and having a good exam! Your neighbor sounds like a nitwit, don't even pay attention to her. I say enjoy those carbs!

AFM, I decided to hold off on the HSG. I originally told myself I'd give it until April to see if things happened naturally, so I'm going to stick to that plan.

So I took an OPK this morning and it's nearly positive- which is crazy because I'm only CD10 and normally don't ovulate until CD15. I felt like that couldn't be right but I checked and I've got EWCM too. Only problem is, my husband just got back from San Diego and he's crazy jetlagged! Hoping he can suck it up so we don't miss our window

cutie, I’ll start writing to-do and to-buy lists after my next scan. I can’t wait to feel the baby moving, it will be reassuring. I wasn’t expecting to be treated like an invalid as you say! Last night we were chatting in my cousin’s bathroom, I was sitting on the edge of her bathtub and she told me “Be careful you don’t tip over backwards!”. OK!!! Normally she’s a very sane person.

Twinsie, congrats on the great scan! So you’re now ahead of me haha. I think the baby is too small to see a penis at this stage. What measurements did they take? Post a pic! I’m so tempted to go and see another doctor for a scan if I can find someone with better scanning equipment. I still don’t have a ticker, there are so many to choose from!

Katie, hope the relaxed month does you good. The house project is so exciting, so many things to plan for, enjoy!

crystlmcd, glad you’re feeling better now. Is it possible they’ve lost your results?? Definitely call them.

scooby, welcome back. Could you be ovulating earlier this month? I’m sure you have ways to convince DH Best of luck to you!

My appt yesterday wasn't 3D after all. But we did get to see more than normal and the tiny heart beating and spine and fingers! The one pic I have doesn't do it justice what we could actually see during the appt but here is baby Riofrio at 13 weeks!!

Just talked to my OBGYN's office as they finally had the results. My FSH level is almost to the point where there would be little chance of pregnancy even with clomid so she wants to do clomid with IUI for a very limited time and then refer me to an RE if it doesn't work. My heart is completely broken. So glad this work week is almost over.

Fleur- When is your next scan? Can't wait to see what ticker you pick! I always imagined butterbeer tasting something like liquified and lightly carbonated caramel, but with a bit of stout flavor mixed in- like a mild Guinness.

Twinsie- haha I did indeed work my girlie magic! He can rest in a couple of days after I've O'd That's a lovely U/S pic and super cute bump! Your dog is adorable. So tiny compared to my 2 girls!

crystl- I'm so sorry that your FSH came back high. I've heard very good things about DHEA helping to lower FSH levels, and also some people swear by acupuncture. Whatever you decide to do, I'm sure you'll find the right solution for you. Where there's a will, there's a way!

AFM, I am definitely ovulating early this month. My guess is I'll have a positive OPK by tonight or tomorrow and O on Saturday. And then the TWW begins... again.
