32 and TTC #1

Mmmmm...I'll have to try brisket sometime! We're not too adventurous here...steak, ribs and beer can chicken. Would love to have a smoker...ah, I'm salivating!

What Fleur?!!! Not like cheese??? Oh boy, if cheese didn't exist in my life, I wouldn't have a reason to live! I adore cheese! Sorry to hear, you're still not sleeping well. I really hope you can feel at ease soon. Is there anything that helps you de-stress? Do you speak fluent French as well? Too funny about the names! Child 1 would definitely be a unique name ;)

That's really awful that your cousin put her daughter in that position Katie. And crazy that the daughter didnt know she didn't know she was pregnant! I think you're spot on with the type of gift though. Any promising opks yet?

Hey, you got your cross hairs crystlmcd! :D You've got my respect on the choice of schooling... I'm a computer dummy! Are you working as well? Yikes, that'd be overload!

Sounds like things are progressing along nicely Twinsie :). I suppose you're anxious for your scan?

How's everyone else doing?

ASM, enjoying the warmer weather! You ladies inspired me with the talk of happy pounds shedding...I've been more active and making healthier food choices, even trying to cut back on my cheese intake, ha! The scale really hasn't moved much, but I definitely feel more upbeat :). 9 dpo, temp jumped a little today, so of course I start getting hopeful. Staying busy though so the brain won't run...started on some renos in our half bath. Seems to be doing the trick

Good for you being more active! Now that this week will be warmer I have every good intention to go walking/jogging a few days!! Thinking positive thoughts that you'll get your bfp this month!!

I finally get my crosshairs and then my temp plummeted this morning. Still not expecting AF for a couple of days but I suspect she'll be right on time.

2b - I do work full time in addition to going to school. I'm a business systems advisor so I'm already in a technical field which is nice. I'm sure it will get more stressful to balance once my classes get harder. P.S. I LOVE CHEESE!!

Cutie - I am so sorry to hear about your puppy. I have a 4 year old Aussie and I can't imagine what it would be like to lose him. They're just like part of the family. Hope you're feeling better soon and can get your appetite back.

Hope everyone else had a great weekend. DH is getting ready to throw some burgers on the grill and it has been an absolutely beautiful weekend!

FX crystl. I hope that stinking temp drop doesn't mean anything. Enjoy your burgers!

Hugs cutieq...so sorry to hear about your four legged friend, that's never easy.

Boooo, hoping that witch stays away crystlmcd. Wowsers, u do have a full plate! Great to hear I'm not alone in my cheese addiction...lol! Hope supper was delicious!

It's amazing how an increase in temperature can make everybody a little happier! Bring on the sunshine and heat! :flower:

Awww, Cutie, I'm so sorry about your puppy. :hugs: We have a 2 year old mutt that I love so much it's hard to imagine loving anything more. Every night we let her snuggle with us for a little bit before turning off the lights, and she curls up between us and uses the small of my back as a pillow. It would probably rip my heart out to have her die. If I could give you a real hug, I would.

AFM: Thanks for the advice about my cousin ladies. We're not that close, but I reached out to her and said I was here if she needed to talk to someone who wasn't trying to make her pick one way or another. And I sent a little momma kit. The saddest part to me is thinking about how she feels right now... I mean, DH and I are going to be so over the moon when I'm finally pregnant, and so are our families. It makes me sad to think that the same can't be said for her.

No +OPKs here yet. I have this App on my phone that tracks my cycles, and it's what I was using to estimate my fertile days until now. It asks if you've taken an OPK, and updates the fertile days based on your answer, if you have. It's been eye opening, because based on the app's math, I should be at the end of my fertile window, when in actuality, I haven't reached it. It's been crazy to watch the "28% chance of getting pregnant today!!" change to "oh. hmmm. I guess you're back to more of an 8% chance." I'm not all that surprised because I had a feeling last month that I was Oing later than the standard math would estimate. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous that maybe I'm not Oing at all though. I've got 17 days left in this cycle, though, so I'm not going to get REALLY nervous for another 3 days. Which should TOTALLY help my body relax and do what's natural, right??

Oh Cutie, I'm so, so sorry!!! :hugs: I would be giving you hugs in real life if I could too. :( We had to put my first fur baby to sleep 3 1/2 years ago and it was by far the hardest thing I've ever had to do. He was my absolute baby, and it broke my heart. I was so depressed for so long, I completely understand how you're feeling. I'm here to talk if you need it!!! :hugs:

Twinsie, just one week until your first scan! How exciting!!! I can't wait until you're able to upload a pic of your little bean! <3

2b, that's great on your temp increase, I really hope it means good things are coming your way this cycle! Good job on being motivated to be more active too, getting motivated is always (at least) half the battle for me! Oh btw, add me to the group of cheese lovers! Yum!!!

Cystl, I'm so glad you finally got your crosshairs!!! I really hope that your temp goes right back up tomorrow and that the drop doesn't mean anything. :)

Katie, that's so sweet of you to send her the care package, I'm sure she really appreciates it! I'm sorry you haven't gotten your +opk yet, but don't give up hope! Besides, a 14 day lp is just an average one, it could be shorter (or longer) than that. So even if you don't have one in the next 3 days, that doesn't mean you won't get one! I think they just like your lp to be at least 2 digits, so you've really got more like 7 days before it would be much of a concern! :)

AFM, we had a pretty quiet weekend at home. DH has been having pretty bad kiney pain (along with urinary frequency/urgency) for the last week now. Friday we ended up in the ER to check for stones since that's what everything seems to be pointed towards. The CT scan came back clear for stones though (and no UTI or kidney infection either) so now we're at a loss for what it could be. They prescribed him pain pills and muscle relaxers and sent us on our way, and told him to follow up with the urologist. So hopefully he can get in there for an appointment soon!

cutie, I’m so so sorry to hear about your puppy, what a heartbreaking thing to go through. :hugs: I’m glad DH is fussing over you and taking care of you. Do try eating a little even if you have no appetite.

crystlmcd, sounds like you had a good weekend. Web programming sounds interesting ! I work in project management and often deal with web developers but don’t understand anything. So will you be changing jobs once you’ve completed your course? Not wanting to get your hopes up for nothing but I got a huge temp dip at 9DPO before it rose again.

Turtle, I really hope that the HSG will have cleared things out for you and that you’ll fall pregnant on your own. Is your DH feeling better? Poor him! Is this the first time it’s happened?

Twinsie, I hope you’re just being really lucky and will have a smooth pregnancy! Nausea and vomiting doesn’t sound very appealing. I’m also waiting till after the scan to use the Clearblue, although it will be a waste of money just to see Pregnant +3 after the scan! I suppose I could give it to my sister (apparently it disappears after 24 hours!). I wanted to ask you if you worked out regularly and saw that you’re going to start walking/running again. I used to go to the gym 2-3 times a week but since I got some pinking discharge just after gym the day after my BFP, I’ve stopped completely. I really want to start again but I’m so paranoid.

2b4us, yes I speak fluent French. We learn both English and French starting from primary school but neither of them is my maternal tongue. I lived in France for 12 years but never got into cheese or wine! Sounds like the increased activity and better food choices is having a good effect on your mood also, that’s great! It takes a while for the scales to show any change. From the little that I know, your chart is looking good, fingers crossed!

Katie, which CD are you now? You could just be ovulating later than you thought. I discovered my LP is shorter than 14 days so don’t stress! Hope your cousin’s daughter will come to a decision that will make her happy.

AFM : I’ve booked an appointment with the OB/gyn for Friday when I’ll be 7 weeks but I don’t want to go! DH is suggesting I postpone it till next Monday or Tuesday, I might do that. Oh, and DH has caught conjunctivitis (there’s a big outbreak here at the moment), I’m really hoping I don’t get it because I’m not sure I can use the prescribed ointment.

That sounds awful about DH! I hope they figure out what's wrong and that it's nothing serious!!

Katie- my LP was short for a few months. That's why I took vitex and it made my cycles normal and I ovulated on time finally.

Yup one more week till I get to see my baby for the first time!!! I'm praying all the time that we make it until then with no issues and that I get reassurance that day that baby is measuring as it should. God knows I'm going to be so nervous until I find that out !! But I've had zero cramps or spotting so I hope everything is ok. Fx for me. Seriously the worrying and waiting never ends!!!

I don't remember which thread I got this website off of but one girl posted a website that broke down the % of mc day by day based on lmp. So I look at it everyday .. Today my % of mc is down to 5.9%!! So I'm hoping I'll be in the clear!!
Once you reach 8 weeks the % of mc happening is down to 2% so even though they say it's possible anytime during your first trimester, the chances are very slim after 8 weeks.

Yea I've been paranoid to work out too.. I know it's silly but it's almost not worth it to me bcuz if something did happen I'd always wonder. BUT I also really want to be healthy and not gain unnecessary weight and have a healthy pregnancy. Since I've been super lucky so far not having morning sickness, I feel lazy not working out!!! Plus, I don't have a baby bump and shouldn't for another month or two at least but I also don't want a big fat lard bump lol:dohh: so I gotta get out there and at least "power" walk or slow jog. It's really nice this week so I have to! However I slept in until 10 this morning! And still felt tired so there was no workout for me today before work !! Hopefully I'll be reporting a different story tomorrow :winkwink:

Yay for your appt!! I don't blame you for not wanting to go. I kind of wish mine was at 8 full weeks too. But I'll settle for being 7.5 when I go. I haven't even had blood work done so I want a Baseline level and then more blood work later so they can see my levels increasing as it should be!

Ps. My DH is a project manager also. For an insurance company.

Fleur - I do plan to switch jobs once I've completed my degree but I still have quite a few classes before I'm done so it will be a while. I have my fingers crossed that the results of your scan will be perfect!

Twinsie - I work for a third party administrator (TPA) that services lots of different insurance companies. I work with project managers every day since I'm a BA so I do all of our front-end project documentation (functional specs, etc.). What a small world :laugh2: Hope your scan goes well also!

We're hitting 70 degrees tomorrow!!!! :happydance:

Thanks, ladies!

Fleur, yes this is the first time it's happened. I sure hope they can get him in soon and get something figured out! I'm really excited for you for your scan...and I think if it makes you more comfortable to push it out a few days, go for it! I think anything that adds less stress for you is good! :) Oh no! I'm so sorry that DH has caught that! :( That's not comfortable at all. I do hope he starts feeling better soon, and I REALLY hope you don't get it! Good luck! :)

Twinsie, that's really cool about how much the chances go down percentage wise, based on how far along you are! I bet that's a lot more reassuring! :)

Cyrstl, we're hitting 70 here too today, and I love it! This weather is putting me in the best mood, I love spring! :)

Twinsie, I know how nervous you must be feeling but you’ve got very high chances that everything is going perfectly well. I also update the spacefem website everyday to watch the the miscarriage risks go down. I’ve read that once you’ve had a scan after 6/7 weeks, there’s no need to monitor your blood levels because the ultrasound is much more accurate at checking your progress. Did you manage to go for a walk this morning? I think I’ll wait till after the scan, although last time the doctor did tell me there’s no reason to slow down. I’m already putting on weight, and it’s definitely due to lack of exercice, I’m not eating more than usual.

Crystlmcd, when do you finish your degree? I’m in awe of people who already work and take up studying again. I’m so done with school! By the way, my DH is working for an insurance company at the moment :D

Turtle, did you manage to call to fix an appointment? How is he doing? DH tried going in to work yesterday and today, his boss sent him back home straight away haha. He’s crazy, I wouldn’t even think about going to work.

cutie, how are you doing today? :hugs:

Funny you're talkin walks. I just went for one to get out of the office and I'm pooped! I admire women who can exercise, run, etc while pregnant. Reality is starting to settle in that I'm pregnant and this is really happening.

Aww cutie, it's fab that you're starting to realise you're having a baby. Do you have a bump? I saw a pic of a 8.5 months pregnant woman who still has visible abs! I think she's a personal trainer but still, I don't look that good when I'm not pregnant.

It depends on the outfit but it's pretty visible now across the board. Here's my 12 week pic.

So cute! Are you doing pics every week?

2b4us, Katie, how are things with you?

I'm doing every 2 weeks. I haven't taken week 14 yet so I'm behind a bit. I was doing weekly but it wasn't changing much.

Aww cutie, adorable bump pic!

Fleur - I won't be done with school until early 2017 since I only take 2 classes a term typically.

cutie, how are you doing today? :hugs:

I didn't go walking this morning. I got up to clean the condo and got tired :dohh: lol! So sad!! I blame it on the fact that I'm congested and can't breathe as well!!! Haha but seriously who gets winded after cleaning ?!

I've definitely put on weight. I was running 4 miles a Day for the last year to get in shape for my wedding in October. Lost 20 pounds for it and felt and looked great!! Then went on my honeymoon, ate like crap and came home and just felt like I wanted a break from working out so much. Sooo fast forward to March and I gained all the weight back :(
I wish I just kept running even a few days a week so I could've started this pregnancy at my best and healthiest weight. But now I can only focus on not gaining anymore unnecessary weight. I'm short (5 ft 1 inch) so I gain 5 pounds and it looks like I gained 20! So not fair !! I envy tall people!
Ok I'm done whining..

Fleur- did you decide on going Friday or next week? How are you feeling in general?

Cutie- very cute bump!!

Awww, an adorable little bump cutieq! :)

Would you consider taking your BBT Katie? It might give you some piece of mind confirming that you did indeed ovulate.

Oh, that's not good about DH turtle! Hope things get figured out shortly! How are you doing with the 2WW?

Sounds like everyone is enjoying the weather . I see your temps are heading back up crystlmcd...FX!

Glad to hear you're taking comfort in the percentages Twinsie :). Hold in there...soon!

Fleur, FX you don't catch anything from DH. I completely agree with holding off on the scan. No more added stress...woman, you need your sleep! Hopefully soon you can get back to your exercising...a great stress reliever.

ASM, all signs point to impending AF. I threw my charts on overlay in FF, all cycles seem to show the same trend. I'm surprised I haven't seen any spotting yet though. Lol, it will probably start as soon as I post!
