35 and over and ltttc for baby #2 for over 2.5yrs!

Momwithbabies - I am so so sorry for your loss. Sending lots of love, prayers and hugs your way. It's just so unfair. Take time to heal and look after yourself... :hugs: :flower:

Mwb - I'm so so sorry. Life is so unfair. My thoughts are with you xxx

Thank you all for the support and prayers. I ended up having an interstitual pregnancy. I had the D&C and a laparoscopic surgery to make sure all of the tissue was removed. I'm at home now, still hurting but on pain meds. Telling my kids was really difficult, but I know loss is something they will learn about at some point. I'm trying to be strong for them, but I'm crushed inside. I go back in 10 days for a check up. He said to not try to get pregnant these next two months (not that I want to anyway), and I'll go back in two months to see if my right tube is functioning. There is a chance it could not be, or it could be fine. Again, thank you ladies and best wishes on your journeys. I'll keep you updated when I go back.

Just googled interstitial pregnancy and that's kinda scary, I'm really glad you are okay (as much as can be expected). Praying for you and your family, that you'll feel peace, and also for your physical recovery.

Also, just my opinion, but I think it's ok to let your kids see you cry. Makes you a loving, feeling human.

Hi ladies...this seems to be a pretty active thread, I plan on going back and skimming it soon to get to know you all.

A bit about me, I'm 24, dh is 28 and we have a 2 year old. She took 8 months to conceive. We have now been TTC for over a year and have lost two babies in the process. I get pregnant faster because we found out preseed works for us due to my not having ewcm.

I have hypothyroidism, ovulate on different days every month, no ewcm, low progesterone and just found out I have MTHFR. I've finally found a GOOD obgyn who cares I think and he referred me to a high risk OB who works with genetic issues. There are genetic counselors in that office and an RE as well so I'm hoping to get some more answers in a couple of weeks! We are starting cycle 3 since loss #2.

Momwithbabies I am so so sorry to hear about your loss. Glad you are okay though. Warm thoughts for healing sent your way.

MWB what is a interstitial pregnancy? Is that what they originally thought that it was growing over the Fallopian tube entrance?

Sweetmere, if you wish to join us please be very mindful that this is a thread for older ladies who have been trying for a very long time. Really a year is nothing some ladies on here have been trying 3+ years and not a sniff of a BFP. I do wish you luck in your journey.

How is everybody else doing on this long road? I seem to have lost track of where everybody is at.

Orchard how is the BCP doing?
Wish, how are you, have you finished with the BCP?
Why do I get the feeling you pair are both going to end up mid house move and prego? That would be amazing for you both to be bump buddies.

AFM Got first appointment at the hospital to reduce my iron levels, fun not. However it needs done for the sake of my general health never mind anything else.

momwithbabies - I am so sorry for your loss, must be devastating after trying for so long. Thinking of you and hope it turns out that your tubes are ok. xx

tommyg - good luck with the iron level reduction, hopefully you won't have to have your blood taken too many times to get your levels down. xx

Orchid - best of luck with ivf, you are sounding much more optimistic, which is great! xx

Bex - sorry to hear that your hubbies SA wasn't any different this time, but its good that there are options. xx

Sorry if I've missed anyone, I've been awol for a while so looks like I've missed lots of updates.

Well not much going on with me, I'm pretty convinced I ovulated around cd 16, which if that is the case is mega early for me...obviously not tracking my cycles right now, but I did notice ewcm quite early on and haven't had it since, so hopefully my period will arrive this week and we can finally start a new cycle and start trying again.

All better now after my uti, followed by ibs flare up, followed by virus...I think thats it for me now with being poorly, I've had my fill of not being well.

Feeling positive about starting trying again, infact possibly too positive...feel like it will finally happen, but I'm very aware that thinking like this is going to set me up for a fall. Time will tell.

xxx

I'm wishing you the best possible experience for what all you are going through.

A cornual pregnancy is classified as an interstitual, but my case is not cornual. The baby was too far up in one of the "horns" or peaks in my uterus. It was growing into the tough, muscle tissue. Interstitial basically means it's growing in the wrong place, but not in the tubes. I also know it doesn't get good blood flow up there. Doctor said when he did the D&C, there was a lot bleeding than in an tubal, but he said that was to be expected.

When I speak of "horns," most women have a pear-shaped uterus. It appears mine is heart-shaped. He said I've always had this, but it has never been noticed because it's hard to tell what shape your uterus is when you're pregnant. I've had two successful births, so pregnancy is possible, but harder to carry. He said I can get pregnant again, but he's going to do that dye test to make sure my tube is functioning, since the pregnancy could have damaged it. It all depends where the baby implants, which is out of mine or anybody else's control.

I'm with you MWBs I have a cousin with the same issue, a few mc and was unexplained LTTTC her first and 3 years for her second. She didn't find out until the c- section for her 2nd who was lying across the way rather than vertically.
Hope you are doing ok?? Sending hugs.

Hello Ladies :flower: Mind if I jump in?

I dont really know all you yet, so cant really comment on your posts yet. Just have to say to momwithbabies - so sorry to hear about your loss  big :hugs:

Heres a bit of our story;
We have been ttc sibling to our baby boy for almost 2 yrs now :dohh: I did conceive naturally year ago, but mc'd :nope: . Everyone kept telling me how I'd get preggers really soon after mc - but i guess I'm not like everyone else. Nothing has happened. I have been on clomid for 4 cycles and now we are trying FSH shots (Menopur incl. LH+FSH, then Pregnyl for ovulation) for five days then timed intercourse. I will have my second shot today.

Our first one was conceived after 1,5yr ttc from second IUI.

I'm in more pain today it seems, but that could be because I don't have IV meds anymore. Thank you for checking on me.

I'm sorry for your cousin's losses.

Thank you so much. I'm sorry about your loss. I know you're going a lot and I wish you the best.

MWBs sorry you are in more pain. Can they do anything for it? LTTTC and mc is just done right evil.

Asryellah hello and welcome, I'm sure you'll fit in here nicely. I must admit after my loses I kept thinking I'd get pregnant almost right away but no that seems to only work for the more fertile out there. Have you any idea what your root cause of infertility is?

AFM first blood loss went ok, another one next week. At the moment I feel fine.

There really is nowhere for me I suppose, I saw someone recommend this thread to someone else on an older thread and they'd been TTC for a year as well but I guess it was because they were older. Sorry.

Ahh sweetmere i started the thread and no the girls on here very well. I don't use it like I did but still keep up to date with it. I think you are welcome here but you just have to be more mindful as there are girls on here who have had years of infertility and they are much older than yourself. Stay xx

Sweetmare sorry you we feeling you don't fit in maybe it's worth trying to start another thread for ladies who have been TTC for 9mths + or with issues.

However you are welcome to stay here just be mindful that some of us are much older than you and won't appreciate age related comments (We did have a 20something join and make a comment about spotting pregnant 35 yos which as you can imagine went down like a lead balloon) and some of us possibly started trying for our second around the time when you started TTC your first.
