Wish: Thanks, Wish!

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! I am CD 1 today. Not exactly what I wanted for Christmas, but here I am. Not feeling the best, and I have quite a bit to do. Plus, church tonight. I need my heating pad, but my kids want to do Christmas stuff. I'm trying my hardest not to be a Scrooge, lol.

Merry Christmas everyone. Santa has been here and now I'm heading for bed.
Hope everyone has a fab time tomorrow. And a very special 1st Christmas to the threads babies.

Wish have you got your daughters together for Christmas?

Hi can I join you ladies. I've been stalking your thread and thought I would come out of hiding. You seem like a really supportive group and I could certainly use some of that right about now.

A little bit about me. I'm 41 and have been TTC for over a year. This would be my fist, my fiance has a son we live with. We had one loss last January which has just made me want a baby even more. I finally saw the RE (who has the bedside manner of a chicken pot pie) and he handed me a packet on getting an HSG, then going on Clomid and doing IUI. It was all alot to take in. Me and the fiance's bloodwork and SA came back good (for our age) so we're not sure what the issue is. I'm hoping to get scheduled for my HSG on Jan. 2 if the holidays don't interfere. Then I really don't know what to expect or what to do to increase my chances. I'm impatient and every day that goes by not doing something makes me feel so helpless.

Anyway, I just wanted to get that off my chest and hopefully offer support and get support from your nice group. Thanks for hearing me out. :hugs:

Hello dojenstein you are more than welcome to join us.
I'm guessing your RE is suggesting the logical thing to do is check your tubes are clear before trying clomid or IUI or possibly a combination of both.

Hope the HSG goes ok.

Hey Ladies!! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!!

Welcome dojenstein! Good luck on the HSG. Hope you get good reults from it!!

Thanks so much ladies. I heard that sometimes people get their BFP's after an HSG? My HSG is during my fertile time so I don't know if I'm going to catch that O but will certainly try.

How was everyone's holiday. I'm off from work and so bored. I don't know what to do with myself. Sigh.

dojenstein - they say the first 3 months after an HSG is a good time to get pregnant. I had the lap testing almost 2 years ago and everything was normal, but I have yet to get a bfp, so I am going to talk to my OB about having and HSG and possibly IUI soon! I go in to see him in a week for the 21 day blood testing after this cycle of clomid.

sorry you are bored while having time off from work. I on the other hand had to return to work today and I am soooo ready for 5:30 to get here so I can go home and spend the weekend with my loves!! My hubby works out of town and is home for another 10 days before having to go back, so I would much rather be home than working :)

dojenstein - how is it in the windy city? I love Chicago. My husbands family lives in Lisle, IL. For the past 2 years we have visited on the 4th of July week and had so much fun! We take the train into Chicago and spend most of the day walking around and going to Navy Pier! I would love to visit durning Christmas/Winter!

Hi chedge - Yes I do like living in Chicago. Of course the summers here are wonderful and the winters, well not so much. It's tough when it gets gloomy out and you don't see the sun for a few days. But I like snow (when it doesn't affect my commute) and the cold weather.

I guess I've just been feeling in the dumps the past few days. I can't really pinpoint why. My fiance doesn't seem to understand why I'm down and keeps telling me to "buck up" and "everything will be ok" which just makes me feel worse. I guess between stresses at work and the babymaking I feel like there's nothing to look forward to. I feel like all I do is try and get nowhere. Anyway, I didn't mean to sound like a debbie downer. I know everyone on here has their own struggles. But it does help to vent.

How long have you been trying?

Good morning Ladies

How did everyone's Christmas go?

Ours went fairly well. Except it started disastrously. DH and I argued last year where DS should leave his stocking. In my mind it should be down stairs near the tree and the rest of the presents. He was brought up that it should be in his bedroom. So we told DS to put it on the chair beside his bed. Last year it worked in the sense that DS wasn't expecting anything and was really excited with his stocking. This year he sobbed his heart out again he thought that was it "Santa didn't bring me what I wanted" oh no next year the stocking will be downstairs with the rest of the presents.

Yip I got my scooter. It's a lovely metallic red colour. Think I should invest in a helmet to go with it. Need to get out today and race DS on his.

What did Santa bring everyone else?

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Hubby got me an aerogarden for growing indoor herbs and veggies. I'm so excited. I set it all up last night. I also got some cute little black diamond earrings. My mom got us a couple gift cards. Celebrating with my mother in law today.

Braven I've just done a Google I've never heard of black diamond. Found a few pictures of black diamond rings they do look lovely.

Yeah, he started the tradition getting me a black and white Diamond necklace the first valentine's day we were together and then my engagement ring is black and white diamond too. I think they're cute.

I love black diamonds. Reminds me of Sex and the City when Mr. Big finally gets Carrie and engagement ring and it's a black diamond. Although I've never seen a black and white diamond ring. Sounds beautiful.

Wish my fiance was into Valentine's day gifts but with the holidays, my birthday in late January, but the time V-day rolls around he's pretty much burnt out on gift ideas. I'm hoping this year I can give him that BFP!

That would be a nice gift! We really only celebrated vday the first year we were together. Sometimes we go out to "our restaurant" but that's only if we have the money.

Honestly, I'm such a dork that I'm way more excited by the aerogarden than anything else I got. Impatiently waiting for the first little sprigs to pop up!

Can't wait to get all the Christmas/holiday leftovers out of the house and get back on track with my diet and exercising.

Braven that would be a absolute dream to have a BFP for Valentines but definitely not going to bank on anything I've said it too many times "would be great to have a bfp for xxxx" . Valentines also doubles as my birthday (which is a pita ) DS and my mum are just after.

I know you ladies will under this I must be the only nutter in the world who can sit in a church and suddenly feel those pangs of envy at a lady who got pregnant without trying. Who was the lady in question?
