A Little About Me
Name: Sarah
Age: 25, almost 26.
Location: CO
Occupation: Teacher
Short Personal Description: I'm a bubbly, nerdy, parrot-loving, pen-wielding teacher about to embark on a parenthood journey. Hopefully, anyway. Should be exciting!
Favorites-
Hobbies: Writing (NaNoWriMo!), reading, playing with parrots, American Sign Language, binge-watching Scrubs, reading about medical things that I'd never be able to do because the sight of blood makes me pass out..
Color: Navy. Or Crimson. I like both.
Food: Sushi--especially anything tempura fried and covered with spicy mayo and eel sauce.
Hang-out: Home sweet home! A snowy day with all my work "accidentally" left at school and a house full of tea and scones sounds like heaven to me.
Music: T-Swizzle. Or anything I can sing to!
Books: Most YA Lit, but especially the Hunger Games, Across the Universe (by Beth Revis--dystopian society in space!), Harry Potter, and Animorphs. Oh, and Gone by Michael Grant. Adult novel favorites include Clan of the Cavebear, the Fever Series (or anything by Karen Moning, really), certain Shakespeare plays (Taming of the Shrew, Much Ado about Nothing, and Hamlet especially). The books that have impacted my life the absolute most are The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo and The Road by Cormac McCarthy... Is there a book club around? I feel like talking about books with adults. xD
Movies: Shakespeare in Love, Moulin Rouge, Titanic, When Harry Met Sally... I love girlie movies. A lot.
TV Shows: Scrubs, Frasier... that's pretty much all we watch because we don't have a connection to cable or local broadcasting.
Authors: Michael Grant, Karen Moning.
Cartoon Character: Er... Dexter? Can't really think of one right now.
Digging Deeper:
Country You Wish To Visit The Most: I really want to go to back to the UK. Scotland felt like home.
Most Influential Person in Your Life: My husband and my mother-in-law. They're wonderful.
Greatest Ambition: Publish a series of romance novels or YA lit that some people read and like. That'd be cool.
Biggest Achievement: Writing a rough draft of a book during NaNoWriMo. I'm pretty proud of that. Also, I'm sure there's something teaching related, but.. who knows what that is right now, lol. Time will tell.
Grandest Wish: To be able to stay at home and write--if I could earn enough money to support myself, I'd love that.
What You Can't Live Without: ...Sushi. Which is going to make pregnancy a bit tough. Oh well.
