Advice For Doctors On Wednesday Please?

Iv just booked my doctors appointment for Wednesday morning to see if i can get some help with TTC and to see if everything is working ok! (If they will look into this).
Iv only been trying for 8 months now. Will they turn me away and say come back after a year of trying? (Bloody hope not)
I dont think i'm ovulating either... What sort of tests do they do?
What was you given? (Medication wise)
What medication is the best to be given?

Good luck with your doctors appointment. When I spoke to my GP a couple of weeks ago he did some blood tests to check my hormones and referred me to a specialist at the hospital. He was really good about it and there was no quibbling on his part, but I've had a few health issues in the past so I guess that makes it a bit different.

Have you tried OPKs to see if you're producing LH?

I was told they would not do anything until we had been trying for 2 yrs !

& I am 37 !

Yeah Iv been doing OPKS all the time and never had a positive! My doctors dont take bloods so i'll have to go to the local hospital for it. I hope my doctors as nice as yours about it then xx

I mean im still according to FF 5 days late for AF, CD44...... If no show by Wednesday... Then what? :/

I think each dr is different. If your not oving then they should do some test to see whats wrong.

The NICE guidelines are 6 months if you're >35 so I would see a different doctor if you can Jo.

If you're not getting any positive OPKs then that definitely sounds like you should be investigated. I'm not a temper, but do you get the ovulation dip? If so, maybe you only have a super short LH surgh that you're not picking up?

My docs helped me after only about 6 months because my periods didn't return after coming off the pill, and in fact had never been regular before I went on the pill.

I think if everything had been 'normal' I would have had to wait a year.

I know before I was referred they took bloods and also asked my husband for 2 semen analyses. Good luck x

Yeah my temps are all over the place. But thanks girls! My periods are getting longer and longer apart xx

I would go and say you're concerned your periods are getting longer, rather than you're concerned you're not preg. Hopefully that will at least get u some blood tests. Good luck x

I went to my doctor because I was worried something was wrong because I spot every month. We'd only been trying for two months but I just wanted to make sure that everything was ok before carrying on trying. Even though we have only been trying for two months she wants me to go back in a couple of weeks for blood tests to make sure I'm ovulating (although I think she's worried about various things that run in the family). Fingers crossed you get the attention you deserve when you go.
