I have not read the entire thread.
I've been watching the news,
Is it really that bad financially in England that some people feel the need to loot and steal?
I know your guy's taxes are high, but please enlighten a foreigner.
I see a lot of it is family owned businesses and such, what for?
seems to me they are rioting the wrong lot.
Any real talk of the military coming in?
I'm sorry this is happening.

Nah we don't feel the need to loot and steal. These are just twisted thugs who are doing it for 'fun' and using the government and lack of jobs as an excuse. It's pathetic, some as young as 11 have been out destroying properties, its ridiculous. Apparently the army will not be coming in which is ridiculous. They have them fighting in other countries but won't have them fight for ours, this country is all to hell.

Well, with such young children it seems that the mob thought process is full fledged amongst the children. How awful to be terrified of children and just random citizens. Seems like a bunch of pansies since the majority of them won't show their faces!
If a lot of them are of the low income sort, why would they get so angry if they are on benefits? Do the adults want MORE free money or is it really jobs they want?
I agree with the majority on here who say it's gone way past the police shooting incident.
Has the Queen or Prime Minister made any statements to the public yet?

Clarendon College in Sherwood Rise, Nottingham, has been fire bombed. Fire service attended and extinguished fire. Glass in door smashed and has caused considerable damage (22:00)

Car fires have been started in New Basford and Old Basford

Bargain Booze in Bestwood Park, Nottingham has been targeted by a group of teens throwing bricks and stones at shops. No damage reported

A group of people outside the Council House in Old Market Square are trying to pull barriers down

6 men are causing damage to property by smashing glasses and throwing items in Canal Street, Nottingham (22:22)

Golden Fleece public house on Mansfield Road, Nottingham has been targeted by 10 youths causing damage (20:54)

Damage to cars in North Sherwood Street, Nottingham (22:04)

Youths have set a tree on fire in Elm Avenue, St Ann’s (20:46)

Its very little to do with low income, its just a selection of feral scum thats decided to kick off for a bit of fun and sod who gets in their way.
They know the police can do very little so its seen as a challange to do what they want and see how far they can push it, its basicly just a buzz for them and little more.

There may have been a protest point in the begining but 99% of these wouldnt even now what it was about they just jumped on a bandwagon for the ride.
Its not even riots anymore, riots normaly have an agenda and reasons as to why they are doing it, these are little more then theives and vandals running around the city trying to do as much damage as they can, its little more then a game to them.

I cant believe what I see on the tv last night. Its shocking. These people arent decent human beings.

They hotwired two police cars and then set them alight, they set fire to a double decker bus and they have destroyed peoples places of business and peoples homes.

I was watching Sky News last night and watched that bus explode and then start to melt. terrible

I know! There were rioters in Castlefield --- where I live!! Had to run back to my parents home in Derbyshire/Buxton! It's awful, and I hope to help clean up and take charge against these people!
