I've heard a lot about a gang of kids hanging about in Shirley, Southampton with rocks, so I'm going to bet on Manchester again, maybe more Birmingham, Liverpool and some more southern cities

There is a website which predicted this morning that it was going to kick off in Manchester tonight and it did. Now its predicting Newcastle will be next I really hope not, I live close to 7 shopping areas including the city.

They've been amazing, it's sad when people put their lives on the line for the safety of others, picking up the peices after these thugs, and they get attacked! I so wish I was in a position where I could volunteer to help, but thank god none of the serious riots are close enough for me to need to!

It is awful because if anyone of these rioters were in trouble with a fire then the services would be straight there yet they're turning on them.

Its a damn shame the properties being destroyed aren't those of the rioters, I bet they'd sharp complain if they were. All of those prosecuted for rioting should be turfed out of their homes onto the streets and their home given to those who have lost their homes due to their reckless behaviour, of course thats not going to happen though.

Apparently it was on Sky news that a birmingham police officer was shot and rushed to hospital. I'm waiting to hear the report myself to confirm.

I really hope thats not true. These poor people risking their lives for us all. They must be so scared. The whole lot of em deserve a reward or something. Something to say we all appreciate what they're doing.

We need some good rain as well to help keep the fires down. Wheres the rain when you need it

Another scot was arrested in Dundee for trying to incite a riot prat. Word on fb is he needs a good kicking. The scots are not impressed with people trying to start riots up here.

It's absolutely awful just sickening. I have family in Romford hoping it's not spread there from London. Also hoping it doesn't spread up here I'm on my own with my little boy

Was just reading through some of the thread and saw Emma's list of the things that had been happening - bit of a pattern on there a lot of pubs and off-licences being attacked - free booze anyone? They're opportunists and thugs and I hope they catch every last one of them, kids or not
