All these riots everywhere!!!

Its terrifying.I feel for all those in the affected areas.I cant even imagine how they must be feeling.:hugs: all round xx

I can't help thinking this is the eye of the storm...as it seems to have calmed down a bit.xx

I wish people would stop using fancy phrases, they keep confusing me :haha:

Eye of the storm?

bless ya...:haha: when there is a hurricane it has an 'eye' when the eye hits,it goes calm...no hint of what hit before...then it starts again :flower: xx

I think it might be fizzling out now, fingers crossed. I guess we will see tonight :( x

i personally cant see when its going to end, there is many shops and cars ect these idoits havent trashed :(

Lol eye of the storm is a metaphor for a quiet middle. It's from hurricanes which circle and the centre is quiet with no wind. (or maybe tornadoes, or both, I forget...)

Well we did go to town. No sign of anything round the uni. I felt like I saw more police cars about the streets than normal but maybe I am just sensitised.

Trying to remember some of the stuff I've read...

Yes I'd definitely shop a relative if they were participating in this. I know none of mine would be though.

Dunno my opinions in a curfew. Ed Milibabd has been talking about no-go areas which sounds more sensible.

No action plan here but we're very residential so it's unlikely things will be problematic here.

Hope there aren't going to be issues in Washington, fil and his family live there. :(

There was a post saying something about people of tv justifying it. I've not seen or heard a single person justify it, how could they? I'm glad there are some people trying to understand it though. There are some serious questions that need answering once this has blown over.

And as for David Cameron. Well I've always said he's a complete dick so I'm not remotely surprised he response has been far beyond inadequate. He is a conceited shite and I only hope the silver lining of the riots will be an end to this paltry excuse for a government. You know Osborne is still on holiday?!! He's only coming back Thursday because parliament's been recalled. Well, it's not like the global economy is in meltdown...

BBC 5 live speaks to a friend of the man, who was filmed bleeding and being helped by a gang of youths, who then stole the contents of his bag.

Dzuhair Hanafiah says the 20-year-old Malaysian student Mohammad Asyraf is currently in hospital with a broken jaw and is in "good spirits".

He only arrived in the UK four weeks ago. His bike and phone were taken and his mother is trying to find the money to visit him.

Seagulls have always done it! Lol

Remembered something else. About bbm, tweets originating in London were being filtered last night so wouldn't be at all surprised for something like that on bbm.

I also heard a waterstone's employee say 'We will stay open, if the steal some books then maybe they will learn something'
