DD's formula only comes in one size so we're going through about 3 cans a week. I hate all the waste - from the cans to the boxes they are shipped to us in etc.

Today I used 2 cans to hold 2 light bulbs that had burnt out - neither us or the trash guy will get cut:thumbup:

i put a thread on this a while ago too, :) i hated how many i was throwing away so i decided to keep some and paint them to keep bit and peices in in LO's room. i use C&G and the tubs are quite big and really sturdy with plastic lift up lids on a hinge.. they are well handy!

My parents still have old empty tins of my sisters ostermilk sitting in the shed! (My sister is 19 today, and ostermilk no longer exists!) My dad uses them to store all sorts of bits and pieces, paintbrushes, nails etc!

They are great for storing all sorts of stuff in ... ribbons, beads, sequins, cake decorating stuff, sewing stuff, screws, nails, curtain hooks, garden ties, lolly sticks and molds ... all the odds and ends that you don't want to throw away but just get lost if you don't have somewhere to keep them.

Also in the kitchen for keeping those open bags of stuff that accumulate in - icing sugar/flour/semolina/rice/pasta shapes :)

They are a great size for storing things! We recycle most of ours, but I like the idea of painting the tins and using them for cute storage containers.

They're great for storing stuff in! Plus Amy loves using them as a drum ;)

My dad still has old SMA tins full of screws and nails and things... my brothers are 25 and I'm 31 this year! We've kept some, but the majority go in the recycling
xx

I recycle most of them, but sometimes I use them to keep things in. I also have one in my garden that I use as an ashtray lol.

i was just thinking that today when i threw out yet another tub...i use the Aptamil so they are more cardboard-y than the sma tins...any suggestions??? x

pretty sure you can do the same thing with those. I am going to keep one or two of my daughters that are mostly cardboard and paint them and keep little odds and ends in...
