Me! And as a fellow UK mum i know how difficult it can be to get but im convinced it saved my two healthy pregnancies! I have spotted and bled everytime ive been pregnant....(a total of 6 times).... The two pregnancies i ended up carrying to term were the ones i used progesterone cream in as soon as the spotting started. Could've been a concidence but its a big coincidence. My GP knew nothing about progesterone supplementation in pregnancy and a lot of docs dont believe in progesterone deficiency as being as cause of recurrent m/c but i know my body and I'm certain it's what helped me!
Progesterone won't prevent an inevitable m/c caused by something other than prog deficiency but in my case it was a 'worth a shot' kind of thing because the nhs wouldnt run tests to find out why i was miscarrying so i went ahead and took matters into my own hands after extensive internet research.
Sorry for the long post but its a topic i feel strongly about especially given the lack of recognition progesterone deficiency gets in the UK! Hope thats of some help!xx
That's brilliant Thankyou I've got a pot off eBay and thought it was worth a shot as I have a short lp anyway 9-11 days. Where do you apply it if you don't mind me asking x
I used it to lengthen my luteal phase before my first pregnancy and continued it through 14 weeks. I started with vitex but was only able to get my LP from 8-10 days and after adding the cream a full 14 days.
I've got the source naturals off eBay at the moment. I'm trying to lengthen my lp. It's gone from 9-11 by taking seven seas prenatals and hopefully the progesterone will lengthen it more x
I used Protest by Emirta I purchased off Amazon. I used it locally around my thighs, belly and lower back. It was explained to me by a naturopath that progesterone in the bloodstream has less an effect as suppositories (right at the opening of the uterus is best) or localized cream use so since suppositories are prescription only I used the cream locally.
