Hello ladies!!
Just checking in with you all. How's it going for everyone?
On my end.... My doc prescribed a progesterone withdrawal. I finished the 10 day prescription on Sat and got my withdrawal bleed last night. Super fast! I didn't expect it to work quite so quickly. Since it came on last night I am counting today as CD1. On Thursday I can FINALLY get my blood work done for prolactin and estrogen. Hallelujah! I hated the never ending wait. It was awful. I've also been on Metformin for the last 8 weeks and worked my way up to the full dose maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago. I am seeing some positive benefits as it is helping with my acne. I'm hoping that is a good sign that maybe it is insulin resistance related for me (which would make sense since I see such a positive benefit when I eat a good diet) and that can be reversed with diet and exercise. Hopefully the metformin will be all I need to jump start my cycle again and make way for a baby bump. Here's hoping!
Question for you all. Is there any real evidence that caffeine negatively impacts PCOS? I don't drink coffee but one of my favorite drinks has white tea in it. I may have a cup of it a day, if that. I just realized it had caffeine in it today. And as I just bought a big case of this drink from Sam's Club, I'm loathe to ditch it. What do you think?
