Anyone being induced? Are you packing more in your hospital bag?

I was induced at 38+1 with my first due to GD.

I had a tablet put in at 9am, moved into a labour room after lunch and baby was born 22.02 the same night. The standard stay here is 3 days but we ended up being a week as baby developed jaundice and needed the blue light therapy. Ive read that its a common "complication" babies can develop due to GD, so its good keep in mind incase you do need to stay a little longer.

Im going to be induced this time as well. At my appointment last week they said it depends on babys growth as to when. They will check the growth again when Im 35+4 weeks then probably at 38+4. I expect Ill be back in the hospital at 38+5 for an induction as that what they did last time. I may just pop on my own before that considering Im already at 4cm!

Thanks girls, I think I'll pack a spare bag just in case.

I haven't packed cotton wool, I've packed a pack of Pampers Sensitive wipes, are we not supposed to use them?

I dont think anyone answered that bit (my memory is like a sieve!), but its only meant to be cotton wool and water on a newborn.
